I know it’s been done in novels already, but I’d really like a series about Harriman stepping up to become a good captain of the Enterprise-B in wake of the disastrous shakedown cruise. See him really come into his own and shake off the guilt. Perhaps it’s even why Starfleet started putting counselors on ships.
I can’t see them doing it this many years later, but it’d certainly be a good dramatic setup for a series.

Yeah, that ship has probably sailed and Generations really isn’t remembered very favorably

I'd take Generations over the rest of TNG's non-First Contact movies, and probably half of the TOS movies, too.

I do think the only shot we have of seeing Harriman on screen again is @cooleddie74 's idea, though. But I also don't hate the idea that maybe not every captain of the Enterprise became a legend; maybe Harriman took the blame for the "death" of Kirk and resigned. Although that would still make him a legend, just not in the way he'd have wanted. It fits in well with Ruck talking about how Berman told him they were thinking that Harriman came from a prominent, well-connected family that pulled strings to get him that command.

Something that a Trek author later put into books when they made Harriman's father a respected Starfleet Admiral nicknamed "Blackjack" Harriman.

Peter David in the TOS novel The Captain's Daughter (primarily a Sulu centered story, in which he learns about the apparent death of Demora and takes it upon himself to investigate the matter).

Blackjack Harriman was also featured in David R George's novel Serpents Among the Ruins, from The Lost Era series.

Oh wow, I didn’t realize Generations was so well liked here. I didn’t mean to imply it’s bad, I like it quite a lot myself.

Generations is a movie I get a bit nostalgic over since it was the first Trek movie I saw in theatres. Sure, it ain't perfect and I recognize all its flaws, but if all I want is the warm fuzzies of nostalgia to remind me of a simpler time, that's my go to movie.

Nah.... his super cool friend Owen Paris, and his Girlfriend Rachel Garrett are going to convince him to let them all borrow the Enterprise-B and take it on a joyride.

Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

“Owen Paris? Yeah I know him. He’s getting me out of Starfleet Academy summer school!”

I don't think I could get interested in another Star Trek series. My heart is still with the original series.

Birth of the Federation
I like Legacy though perhaps more…if continues more with Anika seven of nine but am not sure which has an new ship design am thinking the federation up starting might be something may have missed like enterprise nx 01 having done brand new yet from the past. Captain with Legacy sounds fine as well if there is new ship even much better

A 32nd-century series set on an Angelou-class ship — the big transparent one with a forest inside — could be interesting. With the crew possibly working and certainly living “outdoors”, you basically have a big forested village performing Starfleet missions. The characters’ community could be the main focus, even as it engages in exploring and diplomacy or whatever.

A look at how our future Captain Garrett will be running her ship during her series.;)

Jeans and yellow sneakers? I will be preparing a rant in twelve parts forthwith about how this violates canon, continuity, Gene's Vision and all that stuff. Also expect a YouTube video in which I express my disillusionment with the direction the franchise is taking while listening to REM's Losing My Religion. Because seeing jeans and yellow sneakers with a Starfleet uniform make me feel as though I have lost my religion. Disgraceful.

;)
