DS9 for me. Most of the last season was one big season finale. Close second is TNG. Enterprise is third (if you count Terra Prime as the finale :D)

I adore TNG's finale. I love DS9's, too, but it doesn't beat TNG's, at least not for me.

Agreed. I don't mind the technobabble. It was kind of fun, all that talk about anti-time and static warp shells. Plus, having Q bookend the series was, to me, an inspired stroke, esp. as it's implied the Q have ulterior motives for messing with humanity. DSN's was quite strong, of course, a photo finish for me. -- RR

DevilEyes--I PM'ed you some of my response because I think it was better in a private venue.

But, I did want to comment on something. The titillation factor in the Mirror Universe--I HATE HATE HATE it. I thought that was a major mistake that totally cheapened anything that could've resembled a PLOT in those episodes. I am not a fan of catsuits, of any of that mess on the good OR bad guys, because a) it is not realistic at all to a military environment, and b) it's an obvious ploy for the teenage male demographic that manages to insult women by playing them as objects AND insult those in the male population who actually care about things like the PLOT and MAKING SENSE.

On the other hand...I really loved this fanfic someone wrote, because it showed just how ugly the Intendant's character really was, and the awful effect she had on the men unfortunate enough to cross her path (don't worry--rating is acceptable for linkage to the board):

Oh, and on a lighter note, as to finding Dukat sexy, I think they could've easily solved that problem. Just give us Gul Macet, dressed in a modern uniform, and Dukat will pale in comparison to the genuine article. ;)

(Oh, dear. I ALMOST posted a major Freudian slip when adding in the beginning of that paragraph...an extra "s" almost got left in one "as"... ;) )

Since we've proven "All Good Things..." to be the best final ever, who all remembers that day it aired?

I recall they had a TNG best-of marathon leading up to it, and there was some semi-special material that was on in-between.

I also remember they unveiled the new Communicator badges for 'Generations. Naturally you could buy your very own. They were "chirppers," with the electronics in a backing that went inside the shirt and the two clasped together magnetically. I wonder if anyone has one of those, they seemed so cool at the time.

"All Good Things".

I'm also one of the dozen or so people on this board - and perhaps the planet - who likes "Endgame".

The major problem with AGT is that it set the quality bar too high, the moves couldn't meet the standard it set.

Which reminds me that with a little tweaking and a bigger budget, it would have made a better TNG movie than all of them aside from First Contact. :borg:

DS9. WYLB was a great episode and it really ended the series. TOS's finale episode was like any other episode in the series. AGT is easily the second best finale episode and it's the best Q episode. Q's best episodes were the ones where he was more like Picard's friend/guide than a villain or just a funny character.

The episode as it is is better than all the TNG movies, even First Contact.

The story, yes, but not the production values.

All Good Things.... followed closely by Endgame IMO I can't say I was totality thrilled tbe DS9 finale.

All Good Things because its was an ending but it wasn't. You really got a sense of accomplishment, that people grew during this series yet somehow there was more growing yet to do.
