Real Life was a great idea for an episode but I felt the ending was a bit contrived. Like, they could have made a more profound point by not jumping to the most extreme scenario.
How is the death of a child due to a brain injury "the most extreme scenario"?
To me the problem with Elogium is that the implications on Ocampan sexuality weren't respected in any other script.
teacock, the fact that Elogium provokes such a visceral reaction from you says more about you than it does about its quality.
Elogium is very embarrassing to watch.

The hosts of Trek.Fm's To the Journey podcast reminded me of yet another reason why I love Elogium: "It appears we have lost our sex appeal, Captain".
I've decided to 'bite the bullet' and mention an episode that is probably going to get me a ton of eye-rolls in response:
Elogium
I almost put it on my previous list as either my pick for the best episode of Season 1 (which it was produced for) or Season 2 (when it aired), but decided to instead go with Eye of the Needle and Alliances, respectively. It's a really good episode for both Ethan Phillips and Jennifer Lien, and really shows the depth of the relationship between Neelix and Kes; it's also a really nice example of how Trek successfully does metaphor.

You spend 4 posts to ridicule that episode!
"Elogium" isn't my favorite but it isn't that bad. There were episodes much worse.

I'm not sure what you mean by this, so please elaborate.
