Which is the BEST episode of Voyager??

I'm only up to season 4 but I'd say it would have to be a tuvok episode. Probably The Meld or that one where he's stuck on the planet with the kids.
"Meld" is a standout, thanks to another great guest star, Brad Dourif. Tim Russ definitely gets a chance to shine.

Innocence is one of my favorites, too. I love anything Tuvok-centric.

After watching Innocence I was like, that was so good it could have been a classic TNG episode.

I actually wish Brad Dourif's character in The Meld had become a main character. It would be cool to see a bad guy get reformed and see what that's like in the Trek universe. Plus he could fill the role of bad ass anytime there needed to be some action. A guy with a rage problem in the perfect Trek universe is pretty interesting.

I believe the plan was for him to be recurring, but when the production staff turned over the new PTB opted to kill him off instead.

That might be arguable as it is in the eyes of the beholder :-)

Hmm...Scorpion probably. It brought me out of my voyager coma a few eps back.

If I were to pick what I thought was best in each season
S1: Caretaker
S2: Death wish
S3: Scorpion
S4: Year of Hell
S5: Timeless but Counterpoint is my favorite :techman:
S6: I don't know...Equinox even with its Swiss cheese plot holes
S7: Workforce

Lon Suder was deliciously creepy. I was sad they didn't use him more.

He also offered an unusually complex take on a serial killer. They could have gotten a ton of mileage out of the exploration and rehab of a man who felt compelled to do "bad things," yet wished to fight that compulsion. Tons of commentary on the handling of mental illness could have been woven into the plots. Stories like that would have been exceptionally refreshing in the sea of cardboard cutout characterizations that we were instead given.

There's definitely a shortlist of episodes that jump to mind for me. Scorpion, Year of Hell, Timeless, Blink of an Eye.

I forgot about Blink of an eye! I love that one. :adore: I was moved during the first airing.

Although not the best, quite frankly boring, I just saw Memorial and two of Kate's scenes were intense. Her concern for the crewman in the mess hall and her crowing at the dude during her military scene. "What the hell are you doing?! We murdered these people." Chills :-)

My picks for Voyager's best episodes:
Eye of the Needle (Season 1)
Basics, Part 1 (Season 2)
Before and After (Season 3)
Message in a Bottle (Season 4)
Relativity (Season 5)
Pathfinder (Season 6)
Prophecy (Season 7)
