Why do you think they changed the look of the Klingons?
Which change? I can point to half a dozen.

If you mean DSC, you’d have to ask them. I suspect the look last season owed much to Fuller and now he’s gone, the current people in charge have a different plan (though I doubt any S2 changes will be more than marginal and superficial).

Beyond that, I would not be foolish enough to deny that artists can sometimes choose to “listen to the fans”. What I strenuously object to is the idea that such “listening” is A) better, and B) something to which the fans are entitled. Moreover, the vast majority of such occasions I’ve observed have been disappointing.

What's silly about the Odyssey-class? It's basically a scaled up Sovie with a slightly Galaxy-esque seperation between the hulls.

I would prefer that the Enterprise-F is a unique and original design, not something that was mishmashed from past designs.

That makes sense for non-hero ships, but (apart from NX-01) all the Enterprises obey the same general layout, it makes sense that the E-F would follow that too.

Picard shouldn't command a ship. BUT, if we're going to see the Enterprise, in some capacity, I think it should be the F. The E would be okay. But those are the only two. Any Enterprise passed the E or F wouldn't make sense for 2399.

If you mean seasons 2, it's because Fuller left the show.

If you mean Season 1, it's because Fuller left too late for them to fix it.

The Odyssey is a unique design.

If by "the same general layout" you mean there's a saucer, a secondary hull and two nacelles, then yes, all the Enterprises look exactly the same. But that's not what I meant.

The Odyssey is a unique design.

Not really.

I agree. Picard is too old to command a ship. Plus, Patrick Steward wants a different Picard. not the same Picard as TNG and TNG movies

Unless the F crashed on it's way out of spacedock, killing thousands.

I'd like go see Titan and Riker. Not as a focus, nor every episode, but if Picard needs to go anywhere...

Frankly, a case could be made that he was a little old when he took command of the E-D, if the information that he was about 60 when he took command is accurate.
According to a computer screen in one episode he was born in 2305, he took command of the Ent-D in either 2363 or 2364. So he could have either been 58 or 59.

The original casting call for TNG said the character was in his 50s.

I just realized I never stated what ship I'd want to see. I'd love to see the Enterprise-E (refit). Something akin to the motion picture Enterprise refit, something different enough to look pretty new, but keeping some of the classic elements to it. Maybe keep the saucer intact, but putting new nacelles on it and possibly a neck. Enterprise-F I could live with too, but I feel anything past that would be too ridiculous. I realized in my original post I mistakenly put the Enterprise-J fighting the Sphere Builders in the 25th century, but still, going through five Enterprises in a little over 120 years is a LITTLE ridiculous.

If we see the USS Titan, I wonder if they'll base the design on the noveleverse version? I recall they held a big competition for fans to submit designs (which cost them way more money than they expected, so it was never done again:lol:)

Yup.

I can only find info on the US Military, but I imagine the rules are fairly similar elsewhere. For someone that has yet to be promoted to flag officer or general officer, the maximum time in service is thirty years unless overidden by senior civilian authority. If he graduated the Academy twenty-two (2327) then he should have retired c. 2357, several years before he took command of the E-D and over two decades before the earliest point he could have retired given known canon.

I remember the competition and I like the design.

How did it cost them money ?
