Where's R2-D2? (R2D2 in Star Trek?)

My buddy who workd for Lucasfilm says he's somehwere in the debris over Vulcan. Now that doesn't mean he got this info from ILM...but I trust him.
Yet one more R2 unit left drifting in space over a doomed planet.
I can't believe this has not been found yet!

They left out,
"and of course there is a love interest that both our hero and his friend share, causing some tensions until her choice is obvious."
If R2's somewhere in this movie, we can only expect Threepio to show up in the next one. Probably as a conduit shape or really, really gay admiral.
Where was R2D2?
Ive seen it 6 times, i was really looking close when they were in the hanger about to go to Vulcan being assigned to their ships, but couldnt find the little droid.

Maybe R2 was a trash/waste bin in sickbay...where hypos go when they are used up.

Here’s a cool little contest which comes to us by way of the current mecca for social networking, Facebook. Evil mastermind J.J. Abrams slyly inserted an R2-D2 cameo into his highly successful “Star Trek” reboot. And Paramount is challenging you fans to find him. The prize? A highly coveted official “Star Trek” prop. There’s really not much more to tell you. The rules are pretty simple. Locate R2, write down where you saw him in an e-mail, and shoot it off to facebook@paramount.com with “STAR TREK Easter Egg Sweepstakes” in the subject line. I couldn’t care less about winning the prop, but it would warm this “Star Wars” geek’s heart to see the plucky little droid pop up in a “Star Trek” movie. Maybe J.J. will figure out a way to kill off Jar Jar for his second “Trek” go-round.

I have seen the film a couple of times in Imax now, and I haven't spotted the little droid that could anywhere. I'm guessing he's somewhere in the wreckage when the Enterprise warps into Vulcan. Anyone seen the little fella? If you have, see above, you could win a prop from the film!
