Where's R2-D2? (R2D2 in Star Trek?)

Re: I think I've found R2...

Oh, hell, I'm not even sure. I think R2 is located on the saucer section, at the rear. The blueish dome on the refit Connie has been modified (again, speculations) and now, it looks more like R2 is attached to an X-Wing...

I've found it! With proof of Nero's true loyalties!

Nero hogged all the Screen and Cinema Scenes at Target and Wal*Mart. Kept the rest of us from scoring the Imperial and Clone troop builders.:scream:

R2-D2 Found? (Spoilers inside)

Saw this post, I can't verify this, because well, I have no time this week to go see the movie again.

From a poster named Kristina over at a blog called 'The Movie Blog'.
When we first meet Scotty on Delta Vega and he is sitting at his desk (the first desk, NOT when he gets up and moves to the other one to talk about beaming), watch VERY CAREFULLY when he is talking to the little alien about food. Look in the very back of the shots with Pegg and the little alien during this moment. There’s a brightly lit area in the back of the room, and R2 is sitting right there. He’s damn near in the middle of the shot. He’s out of focus, but there is no doubt that it’s him. Best way to catch him: watch for when Pegg holds up his hand to mimic a bean when he says “You can eat a bean and you’re done”. When he holds up his hand, he blocks R2 from the shot. Look in the space between Scotty and the alien. R2 is sitting right there at the back wall.

Even more specific, there’s a plasma tv hanging on the wall in the background. Look for it. R2 is right under it.

You know, I almost thought I saw something that looked like R2 in the background when I saw this. I'd have to watch it again though to make sure :)

Merging this with the other "Find R2D2" thread...

Re: R2-D2 Found? (Spoilers inside)

It's way too blurry to tell for sure. If that's him, it hardly counts. Then again by that reasoning, half the movie shouldn't count.

^
I just prefer to think of the movie as having been shot in "GlaucomaVision."

Here is the best one I could get of the Scotty/alien "pea" moment described above.

There is definitely some sort of cylindrical blur behind him, with the flat screen, but honestly I can't tell... Hmmm... tonight is the last IMAX night...

Re: The R2-D2 Contest

Thanks. I don't think R2 is in a particular scene, but more of part of a particular something in the film. It's hard to spot.

I thought I found him on the hull of the Enterprise. It's almost uncanny... you can see what looks like R2's head popping out, like how he was situated with Luke Skywalker in that ship he was in on Star Wars (as you can tell i don't know much about Star Wars). I don't have a pic to show but if you watch Trailer 3 on youtube (1:28). That's where I think he is...

No, on the outside of the ship... if you watch between 1:27-1:29 in full-screen mode you can see what I'm talking about. It's kind of up-side down, but it looks like R2's head popping out...

Well after looking at the photo long enough I can coincesly say I have a headache.

That photo is so inconclusive and blurry in spots you can barely tell that's Simon Pegg.:p

Re: Where's R2-D2?

Right here, just like she said. Smack-dab in the middle. You can see his form, one of his side legs and his middle one. Most of all, you can definitely see his main eye:

He's not the right white and blue color, but it's him.
