That's right, for all we know Q has been showing up at the vineyard in the last 14 years on regular basis. You know to enjoy the wine, and chit chat about the previous adventures:
"Remember Jean-Luc when I flinged you 7,000 light years onto a path of a Borg ship?"
"Yes I do, Q"
"Fun times, fun times..."
Until one day when Picard is passing by the Bajor system for a visiting lecture, the wormhole opens, and the godlike voice of the Sisko proclaims "He's like one of those advert robots. You have to hit Q, or he won't go away." and closes back up

Shhh, we do not talk about Qs appearance on DS9 ;)

I would love to see Q in Star Trek Picard! :techman:

But wait, they would probably kill him off or destroy him in some disgusting way.

I mean Trek vs Bond Q. In Trek there has been one true Q, in Bond there has been six
Peter Burton was a cameo, so I don't count that, McCowen wasn't canon and Cleese was R. Leaves us with Llewelyn and Whishaw and I still count only 5. Where's your sixth?

We will finally know what Picard was really being judged for.

We can assume its for abandoning the Romulans but I suspect it is for something he has yet to do.

Possibly connected to the big secret and what he chooses to do about it once he knows.

Q stated in AGT that "the trial never ends".

Q, presumably, is always watching Picard.

My guess, since Picard has been renewed for Season 2, and did so (I think?) before the last episodes were filmed, that you'll have a scene in the last Episode where Picard is either sitting comfortable having succeeded in whatever his goal was, or has failed, or otherwise, and like in AGT..the last sequence will see him flashed into the Q courtroom, and Q will simply say something like..."Hello Jean Luc...."
