If they bring back Wesley he should be evolved like Derek on The Good Place after being rebooted too many times.

Admiral Janeway is in a Star Fleet Prison...

My respect for Mulgrew went up from her appearances on NTSF:SD:SUV.

Where is Crusher/Kim/Janeway/Waldo?

What is more important: Where is my The Last Best Hope Picard book?

Should have been delivered today! I hope it didn't disappear in a black hole or the Bajoran wormhole.....

Yes, but where is Chief Engineer Logan?

Interesting. And what are your reasons for this question?

Here’s the thing: the show is called Star Trek: Picard. The story is about him.

And here's the other thing: If I didn't see, that the show is called Star Trek: Picard, I wouldn't have used the relationships between Crusher/Janeway and Picard, repectively the not-given relationship between Bashir and Picard as an argument. In addition, the story is about him having struggle with the federation admirality. And in the JL's last appearence before PIC, this admirality was represented by... tadaaa ;)

Actually, based on her lines in Nemesis, that admiral could have been played by anyone. Janeway mentions zero about herself, Seven of Nine, Voyager, the Delta Quadrant, or pretty much anything about Star Trek: Voyager. Even her comment about the Borg was meant to refer to Picard’s experience with them, not hers. She might as well have been Janeway’s twin sister we never knew about. It was just a glorified two-minute cameo with no substance for the character whatsoever, other than ‘she’s an admiral now.’

So I’m assuming we’ll see even less of that in Star Trek: Picard.

Just got it myself. Will read asap. :)

There is some law in Hollywood that you can't use archival footage in a new production without actors permission.
Yeah, that's why there was nothing about Jadzia in the closing montages of DS9, not even Worf's - they had P.O.ed Terry Farrell by using a clip of her voice without permission earlier in S7, and she said "no" as a result.

Moreover, during promotion for Star Trek: Picard, Jeri Ryan has said how she was asked to appear in Nemesis too, and turned it down as she didn't see the point of appearing in a TNG movie.

Since Tomalak was played by Andreas Katsulas (of Babylon 5 fame) and he has sadly died in 2006, we won't be seeing him again.

Now Sela.... that's a different question ;)
I personally wouldn't mind seeing her, but lots of folks here would rather gouge out their eyes..

There still could be some sort of reference that Tomalak retired or became a Senator or something.

Sela’s whereabouts seem to be a mystery, although I don’t know if anyone from Starfleet would care about her whereabouts.

Senator Tal’aura and Commanders Suran & Donatra from Nemesis are also characters of interest. Donatra in particular was supposed to be working with Riker on a joint task force, before the Federation turned their backs on the Romulans. Although IDK if any of the Romulan characters from Nemesis would have any relevance in the world of Picard.

I'm sure Starfleet Intelligence (not to mention S31) would have some interest in any and all major figures in the former Star Empire. Whether that's enough to actually track them all is a separate issue.

So I’m loving the discussion and all, but can we talk about the latest Picard episode???? Like, where did you know who come from???? (Sorry I don’t know how to do the spoiler thingy so I’m being vague)

wasn't Donatra assimilated by the Borg and made into their Queen or is that a STO only thing?

The only named Romulans we know assimilated by the borg are
* Orum (from Unity, so well before Donatra)
* the ones from the Romulan scout ship Shaenor, and are on the Artifact, spcifically Ramdha

So IYO why didn’t Picard call Beverly
To clear him for Starfleet service instead of his old CMO from the Stargazer? Do you think she’d have done it or would she have called him out on it for the pure nonsense it was?

Maybe something happened to their friendship? Maybe something happened to her?

We won't know unless it is brought up in the show.

Perhaps because they have lost touch with each other.
Or maybe she actually is the Captain of the U.S.S. Pasture Pasteur now and is unavailable?
:alienblush:

I'd like to believe that even though the Federation pulled back from helping, Star Fleet Medical still has ships out there trying to assist the bast they can.

I mean we all know the real reason is that Gates wasn’t asked to be in Picard, and if she was she said no. But the writers appear to have very carefully chosen which legacy characters to have make cameos and which ones to leave out, and you’d think given this is a Picard centric series, given Beverly’s and Jean-Luc’s history, and that he needed a Starfleet doctor...her absence was noticeable.

There's TWO more Seasons to go.
There's always hope.

I think there was some truth to the "All Good Things" future. I don't know if it got to the point where they were married and divorced, but they might've had some sort of romantic relationship and it fell apart. Or it might not have been.

What if Crusher disagreed with Picard about giving up on saving the Romulans and going home? She would've been very vocal about it if that were the case. Picard and Crusher could've had basically the same conversation he's been having with everyone else. "Why did you leave?" The only difference is Musiker and Elnor eventually decided to help Picard anyway. What if Crusher never did? That could be an example of things going south and staying south.

There were still other people willing to fight for the Romulans. Picard resigned in 2385 but Spock was still trying to help the Romulans right up until Romulus was destroyed in 2387. Crusher might've felt the same way as Spock.

Before the series premiered, I thought she died because of whatever tragedy led Picard to resign from Starfleet. But now that we know more, I doubt she was on Mars.
