Where would you rank it with the other films?

OK, here's my ranking, FWIW:

1. TWOK I just LOVE this movie! Ricardo Montalban was excellent!
2. TVH Almost perfect!
3. FC The only NextGen movie I like
4. ST(09) Great characterizations by all the cast, but holes in the plot big enough to fly the Enterprise through
5. TSFS See comment above
6. TUC This movie never really clicked with me
7. TMP Slow and boring
8. GEN Yawn. The only bright spot was Malcolm McDowell
9. TFF This whole movie was cringe-worthy. I watched it once.
10. INS More bad writing, and the actors seemed to not care
11. NEM Stupid is as stupid does

1. Star Trek 2009
2. First Contact
3. Wrath of Khan
4. Undiscovered Country
5. Voyage Home
6. Search for Spock
7. Nemesis
8. Insurrection
9. Generations
10. Final Frontier
11. Star Trek 1979

My list would look something like this.

1. The Undiscovered Country
2. The Wrath of Khan
3. The Voyage Home
4. First Contact
5. Star Trek (2009)
6. The Search for Spock
7. The Motion Picture
8. Nemesis
9. Generations
10. Insurrection
11. The Final Frontier

With the last four on the list being films I don't own and will likely never watch again.

It's too bad really. First Contact gave me such high hopes for the TNG crew to have a movie series of their own that would outpace the old crew but after the abysmal Insurrection I figured it would die a slow death. Even though I liked Nemesis a tiny bit better than Insurrection, I knew it was the end. I am actually surprised Paramount took the risk to reboot the franchise. I guess it paid off though.

I'll have to say:

1. The Wrath of Khan
2. The Undiscovered Country
3. First Contact
4. The Search for Spock
5. The Voyage Home
6. Star Trek XI
7. The Final Frontier
8. The Motion Picture
9. Insurrecton
10. Nemesis
11. Generations

My list changes based on my mood and what I've seen lately, and I'm probably overrating the new movie since it's brand new. With those caveats...

1. ST
2. TUC
3. TSFS
4. TWOK
5. GEN
6. TFF
7. TVH
8. INS
9. FC
10. TMP

0. NEM

I'm sorry, but how is Insurrection not at the very bottom of everyone's lists? It is, hands down, the worst Trek movie ever. It wasn't even a movie, but a glorified rehashed mediocre episode that was entirely unrelatable and cheeseball, with each character out of character. The E-E looked llike a wimp, the villians' acting was horrendous, and overall it was sooo much of a letdown esp after FC's success and raised expectations. Also, the Ba'Ku were annoying moochers and Riker looked inept in command. I can't think of one redeeming quality in this entire "feature."

How much thought was actually put into this movie? Again, to summarize, INS was, is, and will always be a terrible movie all around. At least NEM had a cool space battle, another Trek movie staple were INS failed

I would have put INS last but I grew up in the TNG era so I had to put the worst movies of TOS at the bottom.

I liked this movie as much as TMP and TWOK. It had color, emotion, heart, adventure and it was a helluva ride.

Outside of TMP , TWOK, and ST, the movies are at best, mediocre and at worst forgettable crap.

The best, slightly ahead of FC, which is slightly ahead of TWOK, which is ahead of TUC by a significant margin.

Although i enjoyed the new film on a visceral, entertainment level, the plot is left a bit wanting, isn't it? I hope JJs next effort has a bit more...depth. Now that they have the character exposition done with, I hope they really knock it out of the park next time around.

Some parts of Trek XI actually reminded me of Nemesis with a bigger budget. Nero and his Romulan cronies looked like Shinzon.
