Where on the USS Discovery is Pike’s Ready Room?

Random thought...
I wonder if They will ever show us what the setup is in the outer ring.

Are there rooms and corridors there or is it just cram-packed with equipment?

Before the spore drive refit, I suspect there was much more in the way of habitable space in the outer ring of the "saucer". At present, it may be limited to passageways for access to spore drive components. If/when the spore drive is removed in a later refit, those components may be replaced with habitable compartments again.

Take your two options and put them together: Cram-packed with rooms and corridors.

This shows the largest deck which would be the middle deck of the 3 that compose the outer ring. So this deck probably has habitable rooms and space, whereas the decks above and below are more equipment and spore-based.

That diagram doesn't make any sense.

Look where the connectors are to the outer ring compared to where the bridge sphere connects. They're at the wrong spots.

We can see there are lit-up rooms in the inner facing edge of the outer ring on the topmost deck. This implies to me that there are active labs and workspaces that probably have observation areas looking into a space filled with spore tech. Hopefully that description makes some sense.

It's rotated about 45 degrees so that the diagonal spoke connectors are perfectly horizontal. Everything's in the right spot, but the diagram is simply tilted.

EDIT: You can see that the corridor leading from the bridge sphere isn't centered which is how I realized this

Wow I completely forgot where the connectors were.

For some reason I thought they were at 45 degrees. I have no idea why.

No, they are at about 45 degrees (slightly more than that but close enough) on the real ship, but what I'm saying is that the floorplan on the screen itself has been rotated. Its like they stuck a pin in the middle of the bridge sphere and then spun the ship plan to the left slightly.

Here, the arrow is pointing towards the front of the ship. Picture the plan tilted in your head so the arrow faces downward, and then the plan starts to make sense

I know what you mean, I was admitting I was wrong and that the diagram was right.

Also I'm bad at angles.

Don't tell my highschool math teacher.

Oh I see haha. Well cool, glad it's solved. Oh and me too lol

So I guess when a Black Alert is announced, anybody who might be in the outer ring has ti hightail their asses back to the center.
I guess I now I know why it is such a big deal when they do that.
:techman:

I may have missed this, and I know it's somewhat off topic, but since we're talking about the layout of the rooms in the hull...did we ever figure out how the crew quarters work? The hallway beyond the entrance to Michael's quarters appears to be perpendicular to the outer hull. The scene where Sarek enters Michael's room in the premiere shows people strolling by in the direction of open space. Is there just, I dunno, a really sharp corner right there?

Do we even know which part of the ship has the crew quarters?
Are they in the Primary hull or the Secondary?

Those triangular slot windows are crew quarters. There are 8 of those cut-out wedges around the inner saucer, with two quarters per cut out (each room taking up half the width of the cutout) . But one of them contains the mess hall which spans the full width of the cutout. As you can see, in some cases the corridor that extends beyond the quarters (seemingly into space) would have to lead into a phaser control room. In other cases where there is no phaser, it would likely lead into a room with a sloped wall against the hull.

The inner ring rotates too.

It’s just the outer hull layer rotating, not the entire section.
