It's not very "ready" if you need an elevator journey to get there.
Not an elevator, a turbolift, which realistically takes a few seconds to a minute max. As quick as directly attached to the bridge? No. But a long enough time to make any difference? Also no. Also as @Styleset has said, it's either directly above the bridge, or the deck below, so the ride wouldn't be long in any case.
The Larry Niven deck would be the saucer ring on Disco.

What if an attack disables the turbolifts? Is there a Jefferies Tube Pike can use?
Yeah of course....it's a starship. There are Jefferies tubes and probably even multiple stairwells.
Maybe Pike brought in the team from renovation rescue and got them to re-did the ready room
It also has Voyager’s sounding doorbell.
But a tube in/out of the new ready room? Yeah, probably something there, I just think a ready room really should be next to the bridge for time's sake.
Perhaps by the 24th century StarFleet agreed with you?
See my last post about how turbolifts are super fast. Also, there is a secondary doorway in the new room which could easily lead to some kind of secondary access. It also doesn't need to be within the room, it could be a ladder tube or stairwell down the hall
Here, I found a sort of close up shot of those windows above the bridge. It seems to match pretty well, though there are a couple of issues that don't match well with the set. The door on the starboard wall that i suggested might be a jefferies tube (seen behind Saru during the scene at the conference table) has no room to go anywhere, it opens into space. The hull also seems a little too narrow to accommodate the width and height of the room. But I haven't done any exact measurements, that's just from eyeballing it.
The windows however seem damn spot on, they're hard to make out in the image but i circled where i think they are.
So yeah, I think this definitely is the best spot for the room. Let's pray they don't zoom into the window and show that it's somewhere it can't possibly fit haha

Spock's padded cell on Starbase 5 has a door from Voyager. Why is Voyager invading Discovery?
I guess. Gotta work with you got. I do like that they did just pick another room instead of somehow magically transforming the previous room.
