Wow.. I've never been able to edit a poll like that on another board before. Anyway, just added two new options and you can change your vote (though it looks awkward being after "other").

I voted for the second option. My next choice would have been the fourth option.

I have a feeling of déjà vu... Isn't there already a poll like this?

I voted for the first option ( a few decades after ENT) but I really meant the beginning of the 23rd century, about halfway between ENT and TOS. But I'm perfectly fine with DSC.

I changed my vote to reboot, third timeline, original characters.

I'm thinking of the Star Trek meets X-Files idea.

My first choice would be: In it's own universe.

My second choice would be: KT sometime around the movies.

My third would be: Anything but Prime.

My final choice would be: Whatever. Don't screw it up.

I had to pick: Mid to late 25th century, post-apocalyptic or highly negative setting.

Not that I think Trek is about negative settings, but I think there needs to be some overarching goal. Maybe something like rebuilding the Federation? If the series is simply set in a post-Nemesis time, with everything being more or less the same as in TNG/DS9/VOY, is there anything new it could do? Each of those shows had so many stories in that sort of world, I'm wondering what could truly feel fresh?

Always thought that the Enterprise J was a pretty ship. 26th Century is far enough in the future from TNG to allow for any changes writers might want. Not a "reboot" but a fresh start with familiar material that can be adapted as desired.
