When Do You Want To See Burnham Become The STD Captain?

There's just no avoiding hearing "Sexually Transmitted Disease" in my head every time I read that acronym, just as surely as I question the wisdom of naming a channel SyFy after that particular STD's slang. So sure, it would certainly give her relationship with her roommate a new flavor if she becomes Captain of STDs.

As someone who loves Discovery and would prefer people use a different terminology than STD, i don't think it's fair for people to get banned over a terminology that i don't particularly like. What you are suggesting is ridiculous.

I think she may need to take control of the ship temporarily in some emergency when Lorca and XO are indisposed. I think it's much less likely that she will attain the rank of Captain. The idea mentioned earlier of her being in command of a Vulcan (or some other race's) ship, at least for a while, is also interesting, since it would get around the mutiny problem.

Lorca is interesting, so I am not in a hurry to see anyone else in command for the time being.

I have yet to see an acronym consistently used by any community.

It doesn't matter at all. Trolls will be dealt with regardless of their choice of acronym, and those posting within the rules can use whatever acronym they wish. I'd love it if we'd stop derailing threads arguing about it.
