Though there's a technical flaw in it, I'd never heard this one before until I made it up:

What's Captain Picard's favorite model train scale?

N-Guage!

Two security officers are checking the duty roster. The first one says, "Hey, I'm not scheduled for anything for the next two days! Great!"

The second one reads the roster. "No time off for me. When we get to Rigel, I'm scheduled to beam down with the Captain and Mr. Spock."

The first security officer sighs and puts his hand on his friend's shoulder. "Too bad. Can I have your chess set?"

So many to chose from! Here is 5:

1 Kirk telling fans to 'Get a Life' in that old SNL skit.
2 Scotty calling the bridge in "Family Guy" about how he has been wrong all these years saying things like 'I'm giving her all she's got."
3 That clip with all the TNG actors playing themselves finding box of old shirts for those Comic charity things that Whopie Goldberg,Robin WIlliams and Billy Crystal use to do.
4 "Galaxy Quest" and "Free Enterprise."
5 Captain Robau jokes here on the Trekbbs.

Ever wanted to post something on a board but know you'll just face backlash from everyone who loves the things you don't, making you rethink your original idea?

A long time ago there was a series of lightbulb jokes, such as:

How many Klingons does it take to change a lightbulb?
NONE. KLINGONS ARE NOT AFRAID OF THE DARK!!!

What do Klingons do with a burnt-out bulb?
TOS: Execute it for failure
TNG: Scream its way into LightbulbKor
.

How many Romulans does it take to change a lightbulb?
151. 1 to change the bulb and 150 to slef-destruct the ship in disgrace.

How many Ferengi does it take to change a lightbulb?
Six. One to sell the burnt-out light bulb as an antique, one to bribe someone else to change it, one to sell the changer the ladder, one to charge for the electricity, and two to speculate on light bulb futures.

oh! here's another one from college humour that i enjoy

Didn't the term Mary Sue come from a parody of Trek fan fiction?

A story where a woman blatantly wrote herself into Star Trek only good at everything and loved by everyone.
Mary Sue stories aren't necessarily humorous, though. Granted, many are eye-rollingly awful (I wrote one myself, nearly 40 years ago and sincerely hope that the only copy that ever existed has been permanently lost), and some are meant to be parodies (there's one in The Best of Trek). For that matter, Diane Carey wrote not one, but two Mary Sue novels (Dreadnought and Battlestations) with herself as Piper and her husband as the Vulcan character whose name escapes me at the moment.

Mary Sue fiction isn't just limited to Star Trek. A few months ago I saw a Bonanza fanfic that was appallingly Mary Sue - a gender-switched Jamie, in which Jamie was a beautiful young teenage girl who was just so loved by all the Cartwrights, and her cooking was a hundred times better than Hop Sing's.

I mean, the term 'Mary Sue' came originally from a parody of Trek fan fiction where the character's name was Mary Sue:
