What will new Picard show be about?

It's hard to know what to do with him. Head of Starfleet Intelligence? Federation President? Archaeologist extraordinaire? Dr. Indiana Picard perhaps. I hope they don't touch either the borg, do time travel or have a Trump analogy.

Please don't bring back the ridge turtleheaded snickers bar Klingons. It was a mistake. Just admit it and you'll feel much better about it in the morning. I promise. Humans may be god damn Klingons for all we know if it wasn't for stupid episodes like Trouble with Tribbles. I hate that episode, and Vulcans should be Romulans. End of story. Or the beginning of lots of great and beautiful stories.

Well..from what Patrick Stewart said, it sounded like he is very much involved into the process of the shows creation...so I really have full confidence that it will be great.

Whoa. Can't go with you there. "The Trouble with Tribbles" is one of the classic TOS episodes--and is still tremendously fun to this day.

I don't see why. Is there some reason to think he has a keen sense of what makes for good Trek? The episodes he directed were fine, but nothing special, and his production record isn't especially impressive.

And when it comes to Trek he was, IIRC, always pushing for Picard to be less serious and have more comedy and action. Which isn't where the strength of the character lay.

He's a very impressive actor who played a very good role, but I don't see any reason to think his involvement will make a show any better than it otherwise would be when it comes to what happens behind the camera.

Star Trek: Reliant

Word Mark STAR TREK: RELIANT

I still think that's an odd choice of title for Picard.

Plus, Nick Meyer is known to be developing something related to Khan. USS Reliant was a huge part of TWOK. Coincidence? Maybe. But that seems more likely to me than this.

I heard a new word mark "Star Trek: Destiny" has been registered in the same way as this. Could this be a show based on the Destiny novels?

I would put money that there is absolutely no chance - destiny is a fairly generic term.

Star Trek: Destiny was filed as a trademark at the same time.

So, they've got two projects or they haven't made a decision on what to call one project. Probably the latter.

There's been talk over the years of going back in time to the JFK assassination, World War II, etc, etc.

I say go back farther.

Star Trek: Anakhanda

Khan can be the serpent in the garden. :borg:

Am I the only one who's hoping that they're doing "Destiny" as the Picard show AND they're doing something based on the "Reliant" too?

The thought definitely occured to me. But I'm hesitant to imagine what they might do with Picard to justify a title like destiny.

Beverly Picard period of marriage would be in there maybe? Unless Q just made that up for "All good things". I think there would be some of B4. He doesn't retire for awhile after Nemesis. There is maybe 10 years+ of story. When did nemesis occur in the Trek timeline?
