Nice tho
Intentional bad spelling can only mean one thing. Looks like we're veering into Bizzaro world again.
This is either someone using a speaking typewriter without spellcheck (possible but unlikely) or it's someone who's INTENTIONALLY misspelling. The typos we're seeing there aren't logical ones for someone unfamiliar with the English language... the working is largely correct while the spelling is wrong.

SO... I've used "speaking typewriters" from foreign language editions and gotten somewhat similar results... but the results were at least consistent for a foreign language model. This isn't.

The only conclusion I can draw is that whoever's typing that is trying to be "funny" and is failing miserably.

Well I just discovered something interesting at the Official Movie site for Trek XI. They have new official wallpapers up from ships and scenes of the movie and guess what other ship is a wallpaper from the official site along with this shuttle design? Remember their was a interview from Orci that 2 versions of the Enterprise in which one would be battleship like in the movie in another timeline. Check out this other version because I don't think paramount would put this version of the ship along with the shuttle seen in the AICN pics if it wasn't in the film. Check it out. It says official Trek XI wallpapers. What do you think?

Huh? Those are certainly not official. That's just a fan-site.

Yeah, that's my website. I put it together just to have some fun (I'm Zefram_Cochrane over at the official Paramount forums).

^ I like this one:

Actually some good stuff on the site. :bolian:

But alas, not official. ;)

So, I created a CG version of the shuttle we saw in the set photos a few days ago. I tried to piece together what it may look like from the photos we saw. Take a look...

Again, this is not an official image, just my best guess at what the shuttle may look like based off the images we've seen.

PixelMagic:

How did you do this? What software specifically (version number)? Here's what I came up with but yours blows mine away

I used a 3D program called Autodesk 3ds max 9. I basically looked at the set pictures for reference, and modeled what I thought it might look like.

Wow, out of my price range but thanks for the info. I did mine in an old Adobe program called PhotoDeluxe. I took one of the set pictures, removed all the other items and filled in the blanks. I wish I worked at your level. Besides the cost of the software I'm sure there's a pretty big learning curve. Did you go to school for it or are you self taught?

I'm self taught. But there are tons of resources out there to learn the software. Also, you can do what I did, and get an educational license, if you are a student or teacher, or involved with education. I'm a college student, so I can get price discounts on education versions of software.

Ew, I just had a scary thought! April 5, 2360... A spaceship lands in Bozeman, MT, USA, Sol System. The elegant looking alien steps out... and is greeted by... Smetna of the Ebonics!
The Vulcan recedes quickly back inside his ship. Exactly 60 seconds after First Contact, the Vulcans fire phasers on everyone there. A photon torpedo is launched... just to make sure.
Upon return to Vulcan, the ship commander files his report... recommending the Borg (or anyone) be allowed to take Earth without a fight... :guffaw:

I think I may have found my new avatar... and several wallpapers. May I steal the avatar I want? If not you only have 30 seconds to stop me.......................................... I guess that means it is ok.
Beautiful work! :vulcan:
EDIT: Darn it! Can't use the avatar... it's 88.7KB, board limit is only 70.0KB. :(

Thanks and feel free. But hurry, I may be taking some content off the website. I think I may just go back to wallpapers and keep it simple. It could get out of hand as time goes on and new trailers, photo's, etc come out.

The command one is beautiful, but alas won't fit here... don't delete a thing! Unless it's a matter of bandwidth. You do great work!
