I think some of those clips are stretching the definition of public transport well beyond the breaking point.

I can definitely attest to avoiding walking at any cost. One time the bus broke down when it was only four stops away from where I would be getting off, a walk which only would have taken fifteen minutes. I waited twenty minutes for a replacement bus to arrive and rode the extra four stops.

Walking would have involved going uphill. Screw that.
