What Star Trek episodes or films have you been watching lately?

TOS: A Taste of Armageddon.

It just suddenly hit me watching that episode... I really do dislike Ambasasdor Fox.

"The Way to Eden". For the first time.

 I fell asleep at the outset and woke up to hear Adam the Space Hippie singing and Spock making a symbol with his hands and saying, "I reach." Wasn't sure I wasn't dreaming.

Finished Scorpion, Part 2 and beginning season 4 of Voyager while doing other stuff, including package wrapping.

Recently saw:

TNG Tin Man - I like this one a lot. Harry Groener was an excellent guest star and the ancient living spaceship was interesting. Reminded me a bit of Moya from Farscape.

TNG Hollow Pursuits - OK, this one's kind of silly, but I enjoyed it.

TNG Sarek - a good, solid episode. The expository dialogue at the beginning was awkward, but when Sarek beamed in and the music swelled I couldn't help thinking "Oh yeah, Star Trek baby!".

Over the past 5 weeks, I've watched 107 out of 178 TNG episodes and 3 movies [First Contact, Nemesis, and 2009]

....this is what happens when I get obsessed.

If they matter anymore, I've also, in that time period, watched 3 ENT episodes [thanks to Brent Spiner's Dr. Arik Soong] and 7 VOY episodes [thanks to Q, and then The Doctor, and then Janeway].

I am in the process of rewatching TNG and just saw the episodes last week. I love all three episodes. Jay Chattaway's score for Tin Man is right up there with the best of Ron Jones. Sarek is incredibly moving still.

I also watched:
The Most Toys: Better than I remember, but not a stand out episode in any way. I think Brent Spiner puts too much emotion in his performance as Data. It almost seems that Data gets angry when Kivas kills Varria, and when Data visits Kivas in the brig it looks like he is, as Kivas points out, gloating.

Menage a Troi: It's TNG so it has some amuzing worthwhile moments. But this is mostly a waste of time.

Best of Both Worlds part : What more can be said about this Tour de Force? Spectacular.

I just bought the 'Q' and 'Captains Log' fan collective boxsets, so have been working through those just now.

I've recently started the Voyager part of my franchise (re)watch. So far I've watched season one and earlier today I started season two, so the last episode I watched was "The 37's."

DS9 Emissary - I'm surprised how little I remembered about the plot of this one, especially since it's less than two years since I last saw it. Anyway, it's a good pilot. I liked the opening scenes with the Borg and it did a pretty good job of introducing the characters. Nana Visitor and René Auberjonois pretty much steal the show as Kira and Odo, I think.

Interesting things I noticed:

Bashir was an idiot at this stage - I'd forgotten about that!
Rom has yet to acquire a name and is listed in the credits as "Ferengi pit boss".
They sabotage a Cardassian ship that's docked at DS9! I guess Sisko really is different from Picard!

I'm deep into Season 4 of my Voyager re-watch. Just met The Hirogen, a truly disgusting race of hunters who gut their prey. One Hirogen was played by Tiny Rom, better known as Mehar Du in Deep Space Nine. Didn't know it was him till the credits. He actually spoke, although he did speak once in DS9, but only as an orb vision! I really don't like The Hirogen.

Recently saw Voyager's "The 37's" for the first time, as well as the first part of "Scorpion" and DS9's "Whispers" tonight. All enjoyable; I've not seen much of the eight-fours.

Just finished Voyager season 4 with the kids. We all enjoyed it a lot, although both of my children (10, 12) do not want anything to do with The Borg except for Seven, whom they find quite hilarious, which she is at times. Once again, I have to say I am enjoying the show much more than I remembered, although the wife and I did watch it first-run.

I think part of my initial dissatisfaction with the show comes from C/7 at the end of season 7. However, there are seeds sown throughout the series that C/J is pretty much a one-sided love affair or infatuation on C's end. Janeway wants to get the crew home, end of story. From that perspective, it somewhat lessens the bitter taste of C/7, but it's still an odd pairing IMHO.

TNG Chain of Command, courtesy of Syfy Asia :) They finally moved TNG to time slot that I am at home, not at work ;)

I'm rewatching the animated series. As for the animation, it's not Filmation's best stuff, but the stories thus far are true Trek. And considering that at one point it was the only Trek out there, it's very good.

Just few hours back I watched ENT's Broken Bow (because I got the Klingon Fan Collective, it was an unexpected yet a great Xmas present!)

I've tried to watch the same ep earlier from the net, but didn't watch it for long, can't remember why. So now, I watched it with my sister, who has only seen TOS and TNG, the latter less than I, I think. She likes them, but doesn't care about the other shows at all, so I wondered what she'd think about this.

I have to say, ENT will never become my favourite show, but it was better than I thought. I liked Tucker, Phlox and...Hoshi...? I hope I got the names right.
But yeah, really better than what I expected. Even my sister said, that she had no problem watching it, for it was entertaining enough.

The last Star Trek film... this evening. Only the third time I've done so. It still feels pretty souless to me.

I haven't been watching a lot of Star Trek lately. Even my favourite incarnation sadly. I thought the break might do me good. Looks like I need to leave it even longer, or else it's just no longer my cup of tea. Which is a scary thought...
