What Star Trek Actor(s) have you met?

I went to a convention back in the early 90's with my brother where Brent Spiner was the guest star. For whatever scheduling reasons he was only able to talk on stage, (no time to do autographs etc). Anyways, he was awesome, had the audience in stitches, and I was so happy for the experience.

Fast forward to the mid 2000's and I actually got to meet him! Got a signed pic of him and I have an awesome photo of him with his arm my shoulder!. Wow, I haven't washed my shoulder since!

The only actor I've met and I hope to meet more, especially the new SNW crew!

I bought Frakes a drink at the hotel bar after a convention. He wandered in and there was practically no one else in the bar at the time so I figured why not? Nice guy, this was back in 1990 before s3 premiered.

At other conventions, Marina Sirtis, Wil Wheaton, Denise Crosby, Rene Auberjonois. I think that's about it, my convention experience is limited.

Over the years I got some lovely photos taken at cons with folks like Nicole de Boer, Penny Johnson Jerald, Kate Mulgrew, Anson Mount, Melissa Navia, Armin Shimerman, Alexander Siddig and Nana Visitor — who are some of my favorite people from Trek. It’s a an odd and surreal feeling looking at a photo of yourself standing next to someone you only know from having watched them on television for decades. Nothing more perplexing than the sudden realization that you’re actually having your arm around Major Kira Nerys.

The best thing though is remembering little things from meeting them, even if they were only fleeting, split-second moments. Like Alexander Siddig saying something funny to make sure we would laugh on the photo, Penny Johnson Jerald insisting on getting the name of every person she was taking a photo with, or Nicole de Boer seemingly having a bit of a bad day during the shoot. I also had some good experiences getting autographs, having really nice chats with people like Anthony Montgomery and Armin Shimerman.

In the future I would love to be able to stand next to Avery Brooks, Scott Bakula, Linda Park, Colm Meany, LeVar Burton, Babs Olusanmokun, Jess Bush or Wilson Cruz for a photo shoot. Although I realize in some cases that’s getting less and less likely. But a fan can dream.

I have also interviewed Nana Visitor, John Billingsley (and met him for coffee), Anthony Montgomery, Jonathan Del Arco, Wil Wheaton, Michael Taylor.

I've met and shaken the hand of Leonard Nimoy. Even if I never meet anyone else, I'm glad I at least met him before he passed.

I've met tons of actors. My wife and I have gone to 10-12 conventions over the years.

We have several albums of photos with various Star Trek folks. We recently met Jeri Ryan, that was pretty cool.

I never went to too many conventions, and when I did go, it was more to get merch than to see any actors (this was in the pre-eBay and pre-Amazon days). i did show up at one con unintentionally right on time for a really cool panel with Majel Barrett-Roddenberry, so at least I met one Trek actor.

I went to a couple of conventions here in the UK back when I was in my late teens/early twenties. I don't remember much about them, but aside from barely exchanging any words with Marc Alaimo while getting his autograph (I was very shy and totally overwhelmed at being there), I did briefly meet Jonathan Del Arco (so cute! ) and Todd Bryant & his awesome arms () in a lift/elevator.

I’ve been to a few conventions where she appeared. On her autograph table she had a sign that said something to the effect of “I’m 6 feet tall. No reason to ask.”

I went to one in London, I think it was 2016 in London at the ExCel centre. Spoke to Nichelle Nicols and Bruce Greenwood. They were both friendly and welcoming

We’ve met all those people.

Tawny is a really interesting person. Not nearly as manic as Beckett.

Hopefully they’ll make their way across the Atlantic one day and attend a European con. From what I’ve seen in videos, Tawny just seems like a super funny, super intelligent person. I’m sure she’s a delight and the life of every party (or stage) she’s on.
