I only had the cassette copy of World Machine growing up so it was not until years later I heard this one, and it became probably my favorite Level 42 song from that period.

I was in a similar situation. I didn't know the US version of World Machine was different from the original, and unwittingly stumbled onto "I Sleep On My Heart" decades later. Definitely one of my favorite L42 tracks of all time...

I had just got my first bass guitar when World Machine came out. it was life changing for me. I went to the local record store with all the money i had saved up and ordered everything thy had from L42 on Polydore, but all on cassettes. managed to get most everything up to that point except for part 2 of Physical Presence, but a local radio station actually played it in entirelty one night after midnight, the DJ saying "this is the best live fusion alblum you will ever hear" or something like that. I wonder if he got in trouble. Manage to record some of that on an old certron too.

I basically spent the next two years trying to be a bad copy of Mark King on bass. I did not succeed but I had fun.

Powermetal, cyberpunk, androids and a really nice clip. :mallory::techman:

It's basically an unreleased Level 42 song that Mark released online during lockdown last year.
