What small but overly indulgent thing would you like to own?

As the title says, what would you want? Not talking the obvious stuff like cars, mansions, yachts, but the little things.

Me? I've always wanted a slurpee machine. I love slurpees and if I ever win big in a lottery I'll have one installed in the dream house with someone to keep it running. At least 4 flavors at all times.

We have blood orange slurpees atm for summer and DAMN they are good.

I'll have to think about this question. As I get older there is less and less stuff I want.

Not for me but for my wife. She drinks a ton of Seltzer and I do mean a lot. We have a couple Soda Streams, but that requires us to trade in the small Co2 bottles at William Sonoma as replacements and it's just annoying. What I would like to get setup is a Seltzer dispenser into the countertop, like in old fashioned diners and soda shops. We actually have an open cabinet right next to the sink, it's just full of seldom used kitchen appliances. Since moving in I've been thinking about doing it, however it's just really to expensive to justify at the moment.

Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but I'd like a Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso watch. At $3,000-$5,000 each for the basic ones, that would sure be overly indulgent for me.

There's a business called SnoBiz that has scattered locations across the U.S.

They make shaved ice treats and have their own special blend flavors (somewhere over fifty, though amounts available will vary by location). They're absolutely delicious.

The ice shaving machine isn't unique, though I believe they do offer one to people who want to invest and open a franchise (I was researching it years ago), so you can get your own. I'd want a shaved ice making machine. But it's no good if I can't get SnoBiz to let me buy flavors.

A very quick search shows cheap-O machines from over $32 and up to $1,950. A good one that lasts is probably a couple hundred dollars, then I have to factor is buying blocks of ice and having room in the freezer to store them.

Yeah, that's the type of thing that seems like it wouldn't be that hard to come by, but when you look into it you find that you really need to be fairly rich to make it work. Like the Slurpee machine. Easy to own, tough to keep in use.

I would love to have one of those showers that has the overhead, hand-held and side-jets. I would NEVER get out of the shower.

One of the coolest self indulgent things I have ever seen was owned by William Gillette, Best known for portraying Sherlock Holmes on stage in the late 19th and early 20th century. When he built his home in Connecticut, Gillette Castle, he had a small scale steam engined railroad built that ran around the property that he would ride on.

I'd love to have a proper camera with all the add ons, propper reflectors, and maybe a studio to use with furnishings and backdrops. Or even a mini stage with backdrops that could be lowered and moved around.

One for a lottery win I guess

I'd love to have a shower that cleans itself.

And a lawn-mowing version of the Roomba. I wonder if anything like that exists...
