What small but overly indulgent thing would you like to own?

^ It's real. It's by invitation only but you can get one if you ask for it and spend enough on your American Express Platinum Card in the previous year. Some people put that figure at $250,000. or $500,000. A lot of people do put that much worth of charges on their Platinum Card (often business expenses) just to be eligible. There's also a one time initiation fee of $7,500. and an annual fee of $2,500. Celebrities also get offered the card just because they're celebrities (and rich).

No I meant posting a picture of it online. Not a good idea.

^ It comes with a lot of perks like hotel and car rental memberships as well as a personal concierge that can get you pretty much anything you want, from a horse you saw in a movie to sold out tickets and hard to get reservations. Ideally, it's either supposed to save you money or be worth the fee.

Back after Hurricane Katrina, FEMA passed out debit cards to people to get them by for a month or so. One woman showed hers to the camera during an interview. Before she could use the card, someone who saw it on TV and copied the number drained the account.

Any credit card that charges an annual fee is worthless anyway.
The Chase Sapphire Reserve has an annual $450 fee, but the perks (esp for one who flies at least a few times a year) are well worth the fees. I have a friend who's going on at least 3 overseas vacations because of the miles he earned on the card.

That's just so wrong. I hope karma stepped in.
