Har, har, har.Fans, are there any of you who aren't aware of my opinions yet? After dropping in on Space's Trek film marathon over the Labour Day weekend I find TMP and even TWoK to be the only bearable films of the lot to watch. There's so much in the remaining eight films that I just barely can tolerate anymore if at all.
Whatever I think of the TOS based films the TNG ones are just wholly awful. Only GEN has some decent moments and those are because of Shatner.
Kirk, Scott and Chekov were excellent in GEN. Pity about the TNG part of the movie.
If character moments are your thing, how could you possibly prefer TMP to any of the others? If ever there was a soulless film that could have used more character moments, it's that. And the plot hardly made up for it.Har, har, har.Fans, are there any of you who aren't aware of my opinions yet? After dropping in on Space's Trek film marathon over the Labour Day weekend I find TMP and even TWoK to be the only bearable films of the lot to watch. There are still character moments I enjoy in the films, but it's just not enough anymore. The rest just don't hold together for me anymore.
Shinzon's outfit in NEM was beyond the ridiculous... I mean really... how the heck would he go to the bathroom with that thing? And I don't think it could be machine washable at all. The only uniforms in Trek more blatantly ridiculous, and 1940's sci-fi-looking, was the Xindi "uniform" the reptilians wore... ugh.

IIRC, the Xindi Reptilian outfits were a reuse of the Reman costumes from Nemesis, actually. It shows.
Theatrical, TV, or Director's Cut?What's my favourite? Star Trek: The Motion Picture, sure as the chemical formula for water or the transcendental nature of pi.
Generations.
Yeah, I'm the one.

I'm another one. I love it when you can kill Kirk twice in the same movie.
Other top favorites are III and IV.
