^^ Absolutely. Memories grow sweeter with time. Nostalgia is a wonderful thing; it adds depth and richness to the present.

Ah, sublime...you are a poet in your soul, RJDiogenes

Besides the constant aches and pains, degraded memory and poor night vision - the thing that really is a pain in the ass is butt leak that keeps constant skid marks in my underwear. :scream:

That sounds like IBS, a condition that, sadly, I've had since I was nine.

I use to find skid marks on my underwear then it dawned on me I wasn't wiping as good as I should be.

You know, 4 out of 5 people diagnosed with SMAW-TMI (Skid-Mark Ass-Wipe w/ Too Much Information) could gain significant relief with "No-Skid" antiseptic cork bungs. After your dump, simply insert the cork bung and you are done! Easy removal later for cleaning in shower or bath. Bring it into space on your next 5-year mission! "No-Skid is completely compatible with hydrosonic showers! See your Proctologist.

At my age...assuming that been very lucky and are still in excellent health and can eat whatever you want, etc and therefore have never had any really stark confrontations with your mortality...nonetheless you finally begin to know in your bones the truth that it's happening to you - the same thing that has happened to every human being fortunate enough to survive youth. It's real, every bit of it, and sooner than you'd like, you will end.

I've had bi-lateral hip replacement, bi-lateral carpal tunnel release, torn rotator cuff repair on my left shoulder 95% torn, and the aches and pains just keep coming. My advice is invest in Ibuprofen and just keep on keeping on. My only complaint is since my shoulder surgery it now hurts when the weather changes. I no longer enjoy the frozen Midwest in the winter. :(

I have to be careful not to insert the cork after eating Mexican or spicy Thai food or else it becomes a projectile.

Thanks for that helpful Consumer Tip, Nick086! :techman:

The side-effects and warnings are all listed for your convenience on the included pamphlet that has such small letters that no one can read it! :bolian:

..and, again Dennis, you sum it up well and clearly. It's a' comin', whether we like it or not. But we get "extra" when we get there, because we are Star Trek fans, yes? :)

I will be turning 58 in a few weeks. I'm considering the saying "you're as old as you feel." Well, this is partly dependent on entropy, and luck. I now have degenerative arthritis in my knees, and when I get up in the morning I often feel like an arthritic old man. If you are the same age or older, and are not yet afflicted by any infirmities of old age, count yourself lucky.

Right behind you, Tim Walker and very seriously, you got any tips for the knee arthritis? Got my hair and teeth and, uh...yep, he is still there, so it isn't the end of the world, but, is sure ain't 30!

HIjoi, I discussed my knees with a doctor, and based on what she said....

First thing in the morning I take an aspirin and a couple ibuprofens. Pain relievers yes, but more importantly, anti-inflammatory drugs. For exercise I go for brisk walks, but no longer jog. No problem with the walks if I take those pills.

Thank you very much. :)

But for a second there I thought you were quoting one of the Beagle Boys. :rommie:

Where the devil is that 40 and over thread? Now that I qualify for it it's gone.

Did it die of old age or something? :rommie:
Last time, I think it was upgraded to 50 or over. :rommie:

Thanks and I will try that! :)

I threw out my back last night attempting to put gas in my car. I was in so much pain I could barely sleep.

I HATE GETTING OLD!
