So for me since I started the topic..,

positives..,

1. I preformed hours and hours of music that I just love and recorded some of it as well to hear again.

2. Worked on making new videos from old videos.

3. supported my sponsie in there plights and plunders.,

4. I am pretty sure I had sex at least once but made love instead.

5. Supported my friends in the things they like to do.

negatives.

1. gained 9 pounds since August

2. smashed my big toe with the guitar case while getting off the bus with a guitar and an overloaded backpack

3. "Acted" mad crazy maybe a little too much at times but no real harm done I hope.

4. Criticized my sponsie more often then not .,

5. Did not take enough risks in life and maintained a dull mundane existence for a while.

I stayed in business and got married myself.

Also I retained some small ounce of sanity.

Did my job to the best of my ability for 12 months.

Paid all my bills in full on time.

Completed the first year of an MSc.

Learned more about myself and became a more contented person.

Saw the pyramids.

Learned the rudiments of a new style of dancing.

4. I am pretty sure I had sex at least once but made love instead.

Great line.

I figured out how to transition to the next stage of my life. Only figured it out late in the year, but late is better than never! :)

(... it involves electricity, alcohol, nerves of steel & a marked deck of cards... )

My list of accomplishments is small and insignificant, just like my [rest of sentence removed for lack of space]
[Lack of space isn't exactly the problem there - someone]

Well, I made small amounts of progress in some areas. I'm playing the long game here. :bolian: I, um, paid off the last repayment on my car, and now it's mine. Mine!

Something to do with this?

(Oh, sorry, thought you said "the next stage of Life" in the evolutionary context as opposed to "your" life... silly me. :o)

1. Created and built a site devoted to the first three season scores from "Batman: the Animated Series", and reached all 23 living composers. For the remaining two who passsed on, Shirley Walker and Harvey R. Cohen, I reached the sons of Walker and the widow of Cohen. I interviewed some of the composers, with more interviews at other composers conviniences, put sounds clips, reviewed nearly every score, and over all made a hell of a site.

2. Started writing (a few weeks ago) the first season for a TV series I am developing. I have plotted out seven seasons and am developing the key plot points. I ahve been thinking on and off about the characters and stories for over ten years, so I know what I am doing.

3. Have interviews with famous composers Ken Thorne (Superman 2 & 3) and John Parker (Gunsmoke, "CHiPs") coming (at their convinience).

4. Started exercising regularly for a few months now. Two days ago I walked five miles, the day after that (yesterday) I walked another five miles, and to day I walked 5.5 miles.

5. Lost my job.

6. Denied Unemployment because I didn't makle enough in the last year period (what about the other fucking years I made money that went to the Unemployment fund?).

7. Edited my sister's IMDB.com page (without her knowledge ;-) to add funny things to her bio (and added a missing credit, some work details, and her website). IMDB hasnt' added it yet, but I hope thye do. I won't tell her, jsut let her find out. That'll teach her not to call me; bet she will now!!! :p

I've watched friends and family members die, been dumped, worked insane hours and graduated college.

Let's just say, I'm really ready for '09.

I managed to hold my first real job for over a year, and got through my performance appraisal OK. And now I'm actually starting to make a real mark on this place. :)

I drew my first colored pencil portrait ever, after doing several black and whites over the years.

I'm sure there are more, but these are the first two to come to mind.

1. Got a new dog today
2. Decided I want to do an MBA after I'm done school
3. Changed political affiliation from Conservatives to Liberals
4. Modest improvement in sex life
5. Improved grade average

^elopement is the best option then?

Positive:
I got a plum teaching assignment that I've been after for 5 years
I am moderatly successful at teaching there :D
I have been a more patient parent this year, as my son transitions to the 'tween' years
I quit smoking

Negative:
balancing my fitness plan with my career
gaining 20 pounds back of the 100 I'd lost :(
switching addiction to cigarettes to addiction of chocolate!

I'm out of my old dreadful field of work, and about to return back to school for a second degree :).

Let's see. Spent increased time on my writing and art. Explored and photographed several areas of the Blue Hills that I had never visited before. Published my third book and first comic book. Expanded my online business. Got a new job where I can work at home, don't have to work more than eight hours a day, can take vacations and don't have to be on call nights and weekends.

Generally speaking, a good year.
