What games are you playing currently?

Been steadily getting through the remake of Resident Evil 4. It may be my imagination, but it feels easier, with some changes made to certain elements. I remember on the Wii version having to dodge cars, have good timing for cutscene quicktime events, and even being chased by a huge statue. Not this time. Still a fun game though. Ashley isn't as annoying this time.

Over the last few weeks I first beat Assassin's Creed: Shadows. I also got the platinum trophy. Then I gave Lies of P a shot and it just wasn't for me. After that I beat Sword of the Sea. And after that I decided to replay AC: Syndicate.

Star Wars Outlaws..... Meh it passes the time. It's a game chock full of bloat with stuff to do I'm not that enamoured with it to be totally honest but I got it relatively cheap so I thought I'd install it and give it a go. I may drop back in one day but so far it's kind of meh for me.

I just recently started playing an indie game I bought on GOG awhile back called Paraside Killer. I didn't really know what I was getting myself into other than the fact that it piqued my curiosity at the time I bought it, as I saw someone describe it as an open-world ace attorney-like game.

At first glance, I was thinking WTF is this. It feels very much like a Japanese-style game in its character interaction, and it drops you into this sci-fi world that is very chill and very detailed with tons of collectibles to discover. The idea is that you're some investigator who's been exiled into some prison, and you're called back down when some catastrophic murder happens. The game is separated into different distinct islands with their own mystery to solve.

Once you start off your investigation, you have free roam of the first island and you have to find the people you need to question, and I've been sidetracked just by how many collectibles there are and how huge the first island is. I've barely scratched the surface as I've only interviewed one person. Speaking of the characters, hilariously enough they're represented via sprites in the 3D world. It's kind of an odd mix contrasted by the lush world. Still, it manages to eek out a convincing atmosphere.

I'm enjoying it even just in terms of how chill it is.

If you like puzzle games there's a really neat small game called "Agent A A Puzzle In Disguise" It's really fun and small, won't take too long.

So yeah I did drop back into Star Wars Outlaws and I'm actually having a lot more fun than I thought I would having done several missions now, it's actually not bad, not great but totally not bad

^ I really enjoyed SW: Outlaws. Sure it has some issues, but for the first time ever I actually felt like I was playing inside the SW sandbox/world. None of the previous SW games have ever made me feel that. Like the two SW Jedi games are great (especially the first one), but both just felt like action games set inside the SW universe. Outlaws really made me feel like I was a part of that world.

Plus it looks great on the PS5 Pro. The ray tracing (especially global illumination) in this game looks amazing.

I'm playing on PC and enjoying it.

Also got Spider Man 2 but am not enjoying it as much as the first game.

Ironically enough, I actually enjoyed the sequel more than the first game. There was one sidequest in the first game that I had some real trouble with, partly due to the camera where you have to extinguish vents, and while swinging, the targeting wouldn't always work. The sequel mostly eliminated problems like that and made it a much smoother experience.

it's some of the accessability options that is ruining the fun for me a little the steering assist for one because once you start swinging I find it hard to stop that motion or cancel it and I'm playing with keyboard and mouse

I like it so far. Got it on the Japanese eShop for 100 gold coins. Definitely worth it. Still working through it.

Don't forget to use the phone to order the shoe phone for an ingame achievement
Also there are one or two you can miss from memory.
Sticking your finger in the sink to overflow it in the bathroom
After the piano puzzle running over the keys to the right and then the left
Touching the pool water, you have to hold for a few seconds for an achievement

It desperately needed a character creator. Kay Whatever her name was, was just cringeworthy boring.

have been clearing out demos i have accumulated between various steam showcase things and next festsb over the spring and summer.

really need to get back to finishing up shaken spongelad...

Will do.

Oh, I can see how that would turn off some. Some games have toggles for that reason.

And I actually feel steering assist can make games more difficult, particularly in racing games.

WoW for the last 20 years. SCUM (was an admin on a private server), STO (quite new to it and getting used to it), Civilization, AOE etc, recently got Atonfall, but haven't given it a thorough playing yet, and thanks to a thread here I've revisited Elite Force after 25 years and quite enjoyed an hour on there today!
