What games are you playing currently?

Been steadily getting through the remake of Resident Evil 4. It may be my imagination, but it feels easier, with some changes made to certain elements. I remember on the Wii version having to dodge cars, have good timing for cutscene quicktime events, and even being chased by a huge statue. Not this time. Still a fun game though. Ashley isn't as annoying this time.

Over the last few weeks I first beat Assassin's Creed: Shadows. I also got the platinum trophy. Then I gave Lies of P a shot and it just wasn't for me. After that I beat Sword of the Sea. And after that I decided to replay AC: Syndicate.

Star Wars Outlaws..... Meh it passes the time. It's a game chock full of bloat with stuff to do I'm not that enamoured with it to be totally honest but I got it relatively cheap so I thought I'd install it and give it a go. I may drop back in one day but so far it's kind of meh for me.

I just recently started playing an indie game I bought on GOG awhile back called Paraside Killer. I didn't really know what I was getting myself into other than the fact that it piqued my curiosity at the time I bought it, as I saw someone describe it as an open-world ace attorney-like game.

At first glance, I was thinking WTF is this. It feels very much like a Japanese-style game in its character interaction, and it drops you into this sci-fi world that is very chill and very detailed with tons of collectibles to discover. The idea is that you're some investigator who's been exiled into some prison, and you're called back down when some catastrophic murder happens. The game is separated into different distinct islands with their own mystery to solve.

Once you start off your investigation, you have free roam of the first island and you have to find the people you need to question, and I've been sidetracked just by how many collectibles there are and how huge the first island is. I've barely scratched the surface as I've only interviewed one person. Speaking of the characters, hilariously enough they're represented via sprites in the 3D world. It's kind of an odd mix contrasted by the lush world. Still, it manages to eek out a convincing atmosphere.

I'm enjoying it even just in terms of how chill it is.

If you like puzzle games there's a really neat small game called "Agent A A Puzzle In Disguise" It's really fun and small, won't take too long.
