What games are you playing currently?

I'm playing STO for the first time on a PS5. I've only ever played on a PC. It's a fun experience, but a lot of stuff isn't explained as well as the PC version. But I do like the new opening missions. These are much improved on the prior ones.

And I'm playing PS4 Spider-man off and on.

So I finished The Medium last night. And today I started playing Far Cry 6.

That was actually fun for what it was I quite enjoyed it. The very last game I played on Ubisoft before nuking my account.

I've nuked my EA account, my Steam account, then recreated a new Steam account because I wanted Shadow Of The Tomb Raider.

DnD campaign (Doomed Forgotten Realms). Our party consists of my Owlin Paladin, a Tabaxi Monk, a Tabaxi Warlock, a Harengon Artificer, and an Opossumfolk Druid.

I'm definitely enjoying FC6 a lot more than FC5 (which I never finished).

Ended up having a two month break from gaming after Elden Ring. Anyway, since we've pre-ordered GOW Ragnarok I decided to start a new game of GOW in anticipation. Hadn't touched the game in over a year and damn - still stands up to the best I've seen of full-fledged PS5 titles.

Shadow Of The Tomb Raider is fun.... I'm at the trial of the eagle.
So let me get this straight this machine has been running for 1000s of years and only when Lara touches it does it start to fall apart.

I'm having a hard time getting used to the control scheme of Saints Row The Third.

So, I got on the PlayStation Store, because I was in the mood to play some Tomb Raider, and I've never played any of the reboots. Instead, I saw Cyberpunk 2077 for, like $26 so I got it and installed it.

But, I don't want to start anything new because God of War Ragnarok comes out next week (I already have it installed on my PS5). So, now I'm playing the waiting game. I did sign up for Nintendo Switch Online and have been playing Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!

The Tomb Raider reboot isn't that bad only downside really is Lara is now a bit of a murderer with the killing she does and the tombs are a lot easier then the original series. The gameplay is fun but YMMV with how you feel after playing them.

I got into the Tomb Raider games later on. The first one I played was Tomb Raider Anniversary then Legend on PS2 then Underworld on PS3. I tried going back and playing the original four on PS1, but the controls were too clunky, then by that point, Uncharted scratched my tomb raiding-itch. But, now that I'm burnt out and have no desire to slog through Uncharted 4, I've thought about playing the reboot Tomb Raiders :)

Who did we invade?

Eastern Europe, pretty much since the fall of the Soviet Union. George HW Bush swore to not to take advantage of Russia's sudden diminishment, but every single president since then pushed for the expansion of NATO/DC's power in Eastern europe. Even after Putin expressed solidarity with America after 9/11, Bush was helping aid terrorist against Russia. It's a trail of reckless aggression that culminated in 2014, when DC backed a coup in Ukraine to override its too-Russia-friendly government. The cornered bear has lunged in self-defense, and the people of Ukraine are the victims on DC and Putin's combined altar of hubris. I would suggest getting foreign policy info from something other than the reliably pro-war press. Scott Horton would be a good place to start.

To keep things OT, I've mostly been playing American Truck Simulator this week.

I'm re-playing Mass Effect 3 Special Edition on Wii U (yes, you read that right) for the 10th anniversary of its release.

I gotta tell you, that game has aged incredibly well for me. I was a harsh critic of not just the ending, but also a lot of the core gameplay and mechnics DNA it shared with Mass Effect 2 (as opposed to the original ME). Going back in after 5-ish years, I am honestly marveling at how well made it is. There are still weaknesses of course, like the uneven design of the lowest tier of side content, or the galactic readiness meter involving the now-defunct multiplayer on the platform. But overall, it that game is truly an achievement.

I'm enjoying Shadow Of The Tomb Raider again and I never stopped to appreciate the graphics before..... For example the water and sun effects.
