What games are you playing currently?

As for Horizon Forbidden West it is gorgeous and lots of fun but I agree about the Las Vegas mission. It's a shame most of the nice stuff in Las Vegas is underground.. That whole Poseidon sequence was amazing.

Dreadwings I can cope with it's the fucking stormbirds I still hate.

Has anyone tried out the Atari VCS? Forgot it had come out already so I looked it up and holy cow, $400 for the console and two controllers at Best Buy!

No haven't but isn't it just a linux box with only retro stuff?

It does have a Linux-based OS, and it also plays modern games. And it has the Chrome browser installed for "productivity." Also it can be used as a desktop PC.

Control: Ultimate Edition and Sniper Elite 5 on the Xbox Series X and Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga on the PS5.

Well, I know I said the Rockbreakers were a pain in my ass in Horizon Zero Dawn. They still are, but DAMN the Shellsnapper is trying its damnedest to take its place in Forbidden West

I did, however, figure out the Shellsnappers aren't as bad with an exploding throwing spear

OMG that spear has been a lifesaver. I am just cruising around the map now doing side missions after beating the main story. The cauldrons in HFW are so much better then the Zero Dawn ones too

For anyone that has done Horizon Forbidden West I've beaten the main story but exploring now. I went to the Bulwark and am looking for El Capitan as you can climb it just like Captain Kirk did. But I can't seem to find it on the map.

They've released a major update today. New Game+, transmog and performance mode is finally fixed. I haven't touched the game since finishing my first playthrough until this evening. What a difference! Performance mode looks buttery smooth with no shimmering to be seen.

I have Cyberpunk 2077 sitting there but another run through of HFW @ 60FPS is mighty tempting.

Second playthrough would be more exploring; I pushed through most of the main story before realising I was near the end.

Been off video games all year. Was playing the third tomb Raider reboot game in like Jan but never finished. Some super Mario 3d world. Dune: Spice Wars. That's it.

Just replayed Dragon Age II (this time with the DLC, which was a first). Its flawed, but I think its still a very good game, and its story and companions are much better then the ones in Inquisition and most of Origins. The DLC though we kind of boring and at times really frustrating, it was interesting to see DA:I's main villain but his boss fight in the DLC is literally one of the worst ones I've ever played.

Next up I'll be playing far Cry: New Dawn (I beat Far Cry 5 a few weeks ago). Hopefully the gameplay is still solid like in FC5, even though I'm betting that the story will be kind of week (also like FC5).

Far Cry New Dawn is fun. Not a huge map but it's fun. Oh and Boomer is an amazing sidekick and there's another animal sidekick you get that is like a tank
