What games are you playing currently?

a friend convinced me to try Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
I am not sure I have ever loved and hated a game so much at the same time. some friend.

on the Colour Maximite 2 I just got I have been having some fun Guardian, a very well done Defender clone.

Now that there's a 60fps patch for Horizon: Zero Dawn on the PS5, I decided to replay the game.

I've read a lot of rave reviews for this. Seeing you think it's worth a replay and with the 60FPS patch ... I've just picked up a cheap copy! :)

That can go in the queue behind Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut which I haven't started (still on RDR2 replay). Hmm. I might move Horizon Zero Dawn ahead in the queue since I've never played it.

^ I absolutely loved Horizon. Sure, it's not a perfect game, but I enjoyed the story and the gameplay. Plus it's such a pretty game. :D

I started playing Deathloop yesterday. I'm only about two hours into it, but so far I really really like it.

Got it today - looks fantastic! Aside from Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, everything I've played on the new console have been PS4 titles. I've bought more PS4 games in the past year than I did in the previous 3-4 - the patches have really given these titles a new lease of life.

Haven't had a chance to play it yet. My partner loaded it up to have a "quick" go to see if she'd like it. 7 hours later - it's a yes. Don't think I've seen her get sucked into a game so quickly. :D

I see Deathloop scored a 10/10 from IGN. Damn. Definitely worth a look.

I'm currently playing Tyranny and having a great time with it. It's been awhile since I've played an isometric rpg like this, but loving the worldbuilding, dialogue and game-mechanics. For instance, the little touches like the missives feel quite original and make me wonder why it hadn't been done until this game.

Still on Kentucky Route Zero, now in the last part. To me, this isn't exactly a "game." More like an interactive novel with 3D graphics and walls and walls of text.

So I made it to the end of Kentucky Route Zero. I understand that it was critically acclaimed, but it really wasn't my cup of tea.

Currently playing through Assassin's Creed Origins. Its a decent game, although it won't be dethroning Syndicate as my favorite and I'd probably also put it a bit below Rogue, AC3 and Black Flag. It has a bit too much busy work, but the world is cool and I like Bayek as a character.

Once I beat Origins, I'll be moving on to Final Fantasy 7 Remake. I never got through the original game (I love turn based JRPGs, and I've finished several FF games, but the original being really ugly to look at and just not feeling as fun to play as FF V, VI or IX made me stop eventually), so it will be an interesting experience. Hopefully the combat isn't super annoying, I wasn't a big fan of the combat in the few hours I played of FF XV, so hopefully its a bit different here.

I finished Deathloop on Thursday and I started playing Kena: Bridge of Spirits the next day. It's such a lovely game, I'm really enjoying it.

I'm currently playing Terminator Resistance Enhanced for PS5. The game is pretty neat. It captures the feel of the Future War and it has action and sneaking around, as I had to slowly work my way through a hospital that T-800 Endoskeletons were patrolling. It's not a big budget AAA game, so the facial animations and dialogue performances are a little janky, but if you can look past those it's a pretty cool game :)

I'm probably pretty close to the end of Terminator Resistance. I've got a phased plasma rifle (in the 40 watt range, of course ;) ) and I'm now doing missions in downtown LA, which is overrun with T-800s, aerial HKs and HK tanks. It really feels like I'm playing the Future War sequence of Terminator 2 (which REALLY makes me wish we'd gotten a TRUE Future War movie, instead of Salvation)

I was trying at Lost in Random. Deeply, unfortunately, I had to redownload Origin back. Then I realized that it was EA and I haven't gotten back to Lost in Random.

Has anyone tried Portal: Reloaded yet?

Yes I know I’m a few months behind but hey, time is precious with an 8-year-old, work, and a scuba diving addiction… :nyah:

Cheers,

Really enjoyed Tyranny, and I wish I had played it sooner. It's making me want to play more isometric rpgs now. Started playing Sleeping Dogs now.

I am playing Metroid Dread on the Nintendo Switch. Really enjoying it so far: Samus moves better than ever before with silky smooth controls, then E.M.M.I. segments (which some are complaining about but whatever) are a real challenging and tense addition to the classic Metroid gameplay.

Nobody ever seems to talk about Nintendo in this thread though.

Been playing Stardew Valley a lot in the past year. Working on 100% completion, and I'm over halfway there with over 240 hours in-game! It's a great way to turn my brain off when I don't feel like working on my art or stories.
