What games are you playing currently?

I still haven't bothered to finish the first Last Of Us, I just can't get into it, find everyone irritating.
Really? I put Joel and Ellie, and some of the new characters introduced in Part II, at the top of my list of all time favorite video game characters.

I've tried at least five times to get into the first game, but I just can't do it. I used to love Naughty Dog's other games from Crash Bandicoot to Uncharted 3, but ever since Uncharted 3, their games just aren't fun for me. Same with Uncharted 4. I tried really hard to like that game, since I loved the first three, but I just found it a chore to play.

I think I can understand. While I liked Uncharted 4, I did find it a bit too long and was ready for it to end before they even got to the Pirate island. With Last of Us, it took me years before I even got it because the thought of a zombie game didn't appeal to me much. In the end, I did like it, but I'd call it outside my wheelhouse, and it will be years before I eventually get to the sequel. Some franchises are just like that for me.

Not everything is going to be for everybody.
Speaking of The Last of Us, I finished up my playthrough of Part II. Once again, I'm really hoping we get a Part III, because I would love to know what happens next. It doesn't end on a cliffhanger or anything, it's just a very open ending that leaves a ton of possibilities for future stories.

I jumped back into Mafia 3 thinking I'd finish getting all the collectibles and stuff but found missions I hadn't even finished though I have done the main story. The Definitive edition kind of sucks though has slightly lower frame rates than the original version. I hate all these remasters and crap.

Finally it arrived I'm doing Cyberpunk 2077 and having a blast.
I'm not having any of the issues people seem to be finding online. My game is running smooth and I'm getting 100+ fps according to my radeon panel. The game feels smooth and fluid at 1080p.

Thing is I am also using shitty hardware which I find surprising.

Ryzen 52600
RTX 580 4gig
32gig Ram
Wow. Jealous of the Ram. My laptop only has 4gig of it.

It still runs well though. And for getting long in the tooth, that's saying something.

Been playing Pokemon Shield lately, doing some raids and doing some shiny hunting.

I will say something about Cyberpunk though now and that is the world itself is quite nice to look at but now I see what people are talking about it does feel a bit dead, people just walking around and you don't hear much in the way of background conversations or see other pedestrians interacting or doing things alone or with each other.

The hacking minigame in this game sucks, it's not fun to do at all. I'll wait for a mod or hack.

I have to say for the number of years this has been in development it's not quite what I expected.

I started playing Mario 35.

It's so addictive especially for people who grew up playing the original game and know the original really well.

The only thing I'd change are the matching and level selection algorithms. There needs to be more skill tiering so more experienced players don't end up with ten people who die on the first goomba and all chose 1-1 so you have to play 1-1 over and over.

And yeah Cyberpunk 2077 feels like a bit of a let down, it's fun and nice to look at but yeah not quite what I was expecting.

Over the past few days I've been playing Inside and the PS5 version of Borderlands 3 which looks and runs great.

What's Mario 35?
I've gone back to LEGO DC Supervillains, I finished the story before I took a break, so now I'm working my way through the free play mode.

It's like Tetris 99 of Super Mario Bros. 35 players are playing, you start with 35 seconds, and killing enemies gets you more time and sends them to other players' screens. The timer gradually speeds up and you play until only one player is left.

If you know the original game really well, it's incredibly addictive and fun.

The only real problem is that you sometimes don't get a good variety of levels and end up playing 1-1 and 1-2 over and over.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II on my Xbox One S. Originally started playing on the original Xbox, but it was a real mess. Runs like butter on the One S.

I loved Fallout 4, but I could do without the base-building. The problem with that game mechanic is that you had to carry around tons of stuff just on the off-chance that you'd need it, taking space in your inventory. I'd have been happier if building materials were their own inventory. As it was, I kept getting weighed down, so ended up getting a mod to make the inventory weightless.

That's what I might do I don't get the building thing. I tried to make a structure but couldn't get the walls to fit with the other part I made. Also that stupid dialog with the dog wouldn't disappear off the screen.

Yeah, it's a half-baked implementation. They likely took the system they had from Skyrim and set a property defender minigame on top of it. Eventually I just ended up ignoring it, because it's another form of endless random quests. It wouldn't be so bad if they made construction materials weightless, or give you a chest to put them all in, but overall it was such a pain.

As it was, I had two mods, and this was on PS4. The weightless mod, and a mod to fix a glitch in one of the main quests in the game involving the Paladin. That one was ridiculous because I couldn't proceed along that questline without it, and it would always glitch out at the same spot. Are you playing on PC or PS4?
