What games are you playing currently?

. I kind of backed off them from playing the very first one which had horrible controls.

Yeah, Witcher 1's controls very nearly soured me on the game, and being that I didn't have quite enough of a beefy computer to play it, the controls were a pain to deal with and made playing it almost impossible. I gave up on it at one point but eventually returned to it once I had a better computer, but it was still not much better in terms of gameplay. And to think some prefer the first game over the second. The game has what I feel is a pretty high difficulty curve too. When you first start out, it's very easy to get killed if you don't know what you're doing, and given that the enemies can gang up on you and interrupt your rhythm-based combat and completely overwhelm you, it becomes very frustrating quickly. The game is odd in the sense that the hardest parts are actually in the beginning stages, the inverse of many games, and I only found it got easier once I got about halfway through it. I never actually completed it though as I found myself in an unwinnable situation. See, I never realized that potion making was essential. In most games, it's an option like in the Elder Scrolls series. So, I wasn't terribly interested in potion making in this game and ignored it. I manage to get to the end boss and having a terribly difficult time with it, feeling it impossible, because they're actually two bosses, one right after the other with no opportunity to do anything in between, which IMHO makes it that much harder. I just couldn't do it. While searching online, I realized what I needed to do was craft a potion that would regenerate my health in a sustained manner. But guess what? I didn't have the necessary skills as I never did play around with potion-making, yet the game fully expected I had. That is down to the confusing nature of the quest system in that game and the ambiguity it provided and allowing me to progress without something I critically needed. That is what I call poor design.

I finished up the story mode of Star Wars: Battlefront II yesterday, and played a bit of the arcade mode, which was also pretty fun.
This afternoon I started my second play through of Assassin't Creed III. I plan on working my way back through III, Black Flag, and Syndicate before getting at least Origins and Odyssey. I might get Unity, which I skipped the first time through, but I haven't decided for sure yet.

I'm not sure I'd play Unity in release order. I really didn't like it and it almost caused me to skip out on the far superior (and more fun) Syndicate. If you haven't played it, though, prepare to sink a LOT of hours into Origins (I put in right at 100). I haven't played Odyssey yet, but I think I'll get to it after I play through Borderlands 3, Luigi's Mansion 3 and Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order

I'll probably won't bother with Unity then. Oh, and this would also be second play though of Black Flag and Syndicate, both of which I loved. I'm also planning on possibly getting III, BL, and Syndicate's DLC, which I never got the first time through.

I need to check the Syndicate DLC out again. The first time I played it, I quit because every time I got in a carriage and started riding around, the frame rate would drop to about 2 frames a second. Hopefully they got it fixed!

LA Noire, I am stuck in ''The Consul's Car'' mission. I also find the talk scenes a little bit boring, you can only choose truth, lie and doubt.

I decided to go back and finish up Arkham Knight, along with ACIII. I still need to buy and play all of the DLC missions except the Batgirl one and the pack that adds the new bad guy storylines to the main game.

Whatever you do don't buy Control now. Wait a few months because massive frame drops on base level Xbox 1 and PS4.

Games should never be released like this its as if they shove broken software out the door.

Even the PS4 pro struggles.
Digital foundry has a really great vid on this topic, on youtube.

Right now I'm playing Yakuza 0. Its pretty fun, although I'm not a huge fan of having to do a whole chapter as one character and then switching to another in the next chapter. besides that though its fun to play, the story is interesting, and there is a lot of fun, goofy stuff.

Over the last few months I played all the "America Trilogy" AC games (3, 4 and Rogue), and I really enjoyed them. Syndicate (which was my first AC game) is still my favorite, but I liked all three of these, too (with 3/Rogue being tied as favorite, with 4 being pretty good but a bit too flawed to be tied with those two). Eventually I plan to play AC Brotherhood and Revelations (I'm skipping 2 because I tried it a long time ago and it was a bit too antiquated, mechanics wise), but it will probably be awhile.

I got the Platinum trophy on Days Gone last night, and right now I'm cleaning up the last of the hordes (I have 5 left on Highway 97) and the rest of the NERO intelligence and other collectibles. I also pre-ordered Borderlands 3, which will be installing on Wednesday! :D

Gears 5 Ultimate Edition. I'm enjoying the campaign so far. Also, the Terminator: Dark Fate character skins are pretty cool. Looking forward to the unlockable Dave Bautista skin in a few days.

Is there a reason they changed the name from Gears of War to just Gears? I'm a Playstation person, so I've never played any of the series, but I have heard of it.

A new developer called The Coalition took over from Epic Games for Gears Of War 4. The official reason is that they want to make a series of games with a shortened title including Gears Pop, Gears Tactics and Gears 5. Although, the original name will be retained in general. Sorta like Coca Cola/Coke.

I'm a PlayStation and XBox gamer. (No console fanboy here.) :D The Uncharted franchise on PlayStation is the closest alternative to the Gears Of War franchise. Both are cover based shooters with a bit of exploration and finding hidden collectables. Gears Of War is much gorier though.

I think my copy of Witcher 3 bugged out on me. I defeated the Moonwraith then checked my list of quests and there's a red mark in there for that quest yet I did kill her, got the cutscenes and all, and the end conversation.

That sucks.
Have you tried a previous save game?
