What games are you playing currently?

Rise of the Tomb Raider

Graphically so far (alongside SW Battlefront) the most impressive console game this gen.

The challenge tombs are more frequent, elaborate, and, you know, challenging, QTEs are less frequent and less frustrating, and combat and stealth sequences have been toned down.

Basically all the criticisms of the 2013 game have been remedied. Very impressive job, CD.

Rebel Galaxy is my favorite out of what I'm currently playing. If you like space shooters, especially in the vein of Freelancer, this is your jam. And it's only $20.

I really, really need to check RG out at some point.

ROTTR continues to impress, the wife and I have found our perfect pass-the-controller Tomb Raider game.

Just had a quick go of the tutorials for Witcher 3. So far, the combat feels more intuitive than Witcher 1 and the game does look good. I've stopped for now while it updates and gets the freebie dlc.

Speaking of Witcher 3, look what I just pulled off:

Needless to say, this got me the "Killed It" achievement.

I presume that's Gwent? (I haven't got far enough in either Witcher 1 or 3 to see that yet and haven't got the second game)

RG is a lot of fun. The gameplay is a bit repetitive but different challenges are thrown at you with enough variety to keep it fresh. Plus, the variety of ships and equipment offer a lot of customization. You can also play as different roles: merchant, pirate, mercenary, bounty hunter, or any combination of those, and switch between them as you please (so far as your faction ratings allow, at least).

Just for fun, I'm trying Doom (via Doomsday and various high resolution packs).

I think the last time I played the first Doom game, i was still running a DX2/66 processor

I've been raising some hell in Medici in Just Cause 3. I never played Just Cause or Just Cause 2, so the controls are still a little wonky to me but the amount of chaos and destruction you can cause is amazing.

it looks super cool and I'm digging the overall presentation a lot

currently re-playing DA:I from the start (mainly to get to the singleplayer DLCs, which I haven't played before) since I got a digital copy of the GOTY edition from a sale

really gotta say, playing DA:I without being a completionist (and most importantly, knowing where in the game completionism actually pays off in a meaningful way, which is mostly never) makes it so much better, the pacing is a delight!

Just bought Assassin's Creed Unity (because I never did finish it and I'm enjoying Syndicate) for £7.99 and got Everybody's Gone to the Rapture in the PSN sale.

was thinking about that one as well, but I'm afraid of Walking Simulator Burnout (still have to play Ep. 2 through 5 of Life is Strange)

I just beat the main story. Took less than 30 hours. Devs say it should take 30-40 but can be done in 25. Considering I spent several hours just goofing off and doing random side missions, I think they were a little optimistic!

Still, $20 for that much play time is not bad at all. I still have a number of cheevos to rack up, and by no means have I maxed out my ship or gotten all the way up to the one I want. I'll probably keep playing.
