Last of Us Remastered:
Wow. tl;dr version, utterly tedious and insanely overrated, blissful that I got it for free as it means I can delete it without any guilt and make room for an actual FUCKING GAME. Not whatever the hell this 5 hours of mincing around (shit you not the sprint has you running the campest, slowest "run" I've ever seen in a game ever) where nothing happens at all for half an hour a time is.

Seriously, playing a game is more than pressing one button every 18 minutes, jesus.

Grand Theft Auto 5:
I...don't know. The shooting and driving is apparently 90% of what happens in the game, and both are so stupidly hard to do and badly done it's near impossible to enjoy the game. So...glad again I got it as a present. Hopefully a substantial patch to allow actual driving and a useable weapon system is coming.

Shadow of Mordor:
Frustrating when the Uruk captains ambush you, but by far the only game out of 5 I have for the PS4 that can actually be 'played' as such.

I enjoyed playing that one, from my experience
unless your high level/have good epic runes or know a big, easy to exploit weakness of the captain ambushing you, don't fight.
Run, stealth or climb something and pick a better approach to kill him.

Yup, luckily most captains until the Warchiefs have their fear exploitable very near by, even the first Chief with Ratbag (whatever his name is) has the Carragors crash the party and ignore you.

After the 30% mark things get harder, I have about 5 epic runes, at least 2 on the dagger and sword, one on the bow which I'm best at, but it's getting addictive going after the Orks/Uruks rather than the campaign right now.

HD remaster of Resident Evil. Gorgeous. A/B'ing it with the GameCube version, the GC version is all blurry compared to the gorgeous PS4 remaster. And since it's been years since I've played this, it feels almost brand new again.

Hm, i thought the driving and weapon usage was good, better than GTAIV even...

Fun game, Batman : Arkham meets Assasin's Creed, love the nemesis system...

I really enjoyed Last of Us, haven't tried the remastered version. I haven't bothered with GTA V in either version. I wasn't keen on GTA IV so didn't think it was worth it. I'm tempted by Shadow of Mordor, but haven't got round to it yet.

I've been playing inFamous First Light, which is a bit repetitive but a nice addition thanks to PS+. I also rented DriveClub and played for a while. Looked nice but wasn't my sort of game really, sent it back and it seems I'm getting Saints Row 4: Gat out of Hell.

Finding it really strange that in AC: Rogue, they keep referring to the Assassin bureaux that you take down as "gang headquarters"- given the basic conceit of the game it's very strange that they wouldn't call them Assassin HQs, especially since they're draped in Assassin logo flags... WTF is up with that?

I already have too many long games on the go (Etrian Odyssey IV and Dark Souls), but Nintendo just released Punch Out Wii on the VC. And it's only $9.99 for the next week? Well, I'd be a fool to pass on this.

Sigh, more games for the (digital) pile.

I'm almost embarrassed to admit I'd never even heard of the Far Cry series (or if I had, it never stuck), but I'm having a ton of fun playing Far Cry 4. It reminds me of Red Dead Redemption, in that I spend waaaay too much time just wandering around hunting animals and exploring.

I enjoyed the portion of the game where it pretends to be a stealth action game slash TPS and the parts where it offers some freedom of movement and exploration. They did build a world with a great sense of place and moody atmosphere. Too bad they also felt the need to force me into bullshit stealth sections with clickers and/or lock me in rooms/arenas until I've killed all zombies.

Also, the idea of a sidekick that basically has a chance to devolve into a bad escort mission at any time does not appeal to me. Urgh.

And yes, Blood Dragon was such a cool riff on 80's action cheese....very funny game. Loved FC3 and 4. Certainly many steps above FC2.

It would help if mine didn't walk into the path of bullets, cause me to mistake their completely spastic movements as another villain approaching or literally shove me into the path of incoming fire EVERY TIME.

The AI is terribly broken.

Saint's Row 4, I did the first 4 or 5 chapters and I'm enjoying it so far.

Nor have I. Ellie never got in my way when it came to combat....unlike some other games where your AI escortees exhibited more A than I.
