Poll What fans of the other Star Trek series are enjoying Discovery so far?

This might not be representative of everyone since it's in the Discovery forum, but lately it appears that Star Trek fans who think DS9 is the best Star Trek series are enjoying DSC more than those who prefer a more positive Star Trek series like TNG. So I've made this poll to see if that's true.

My favourite series is DS9 and I'm liking DSC so far.

Love DS9 the most with Enterprise being a close second. I think Discovery has wonderful potential and I'm excited to have new TV trek to watch!

I'm not sure Discovery is not positive. They are just victims of their circumstances. They are in a state of war.

Other Star Trek series had dealings with evil aliens which were also not positive at all (Klingons, Romulans, Borg, Krenim, etc). Other Trek series like TOS, TNG and Voyager where not in a constant state of war. At the moment, in general I'm happy and enjoying life, I'm positive, but I'm not in a middle of a battlefield. I don't have to deal with a Borg invasion or a war with the Klingon. Those are extremely dramatic, not positive situations. It's war.

Positive is probably not the correct word. The "less dark" series is what I meant.

if you were to ask me to make a list of 15 best trek episodes though, TNG for me would have more than half the list.

But the stories in DS9 I was more easily attached to, I just enjoyed them more.

Not sure if people are trolling when they say that STD is their favorite Star Trek of all time.

TOS is my favorite and I find STD to fall below average for now, but the last episode was a solid 5/10 and I enjoyed it. I'll be fine if the next episode reached 6/10 mark

This is binary, so it really do not reflect how I feel. I'd really not say I 'dislike' Discovery, though I have some serious misgivings. But I guess for the purposes of this poll 'TNG is my favourite series and I don't like DSC' is close enough. TOS is my close second favourite, and all the other Trek series are far behind.

And yes, how I feel about DIS thus far is pretty similar how I feel about DS9. There are some things I really like and some things I really hate. That is different than how I feel about VOY for example, which I'm just pretty 'meh' about.

I like TOS best, find Discovery meh. I like what they're trying to do but think the writing often falls short.

This actually doesn't surprise me. I've found that a lot of Niners like it, while others are not so keen on it.

I wouldn't say I *love* it, there are definitely problems with it, but I'm enjoying it. The pilot was awful, but I feel like it's trending in the right direction with eps 3-5.

TNG fan here, but I like all versions of Star Trek, and DSC is no different for the most part. Not crazy about some of the actors (not naming names), but I love the premise of the show. And I enjoy the scope of the production - it really does feel big and cinematic. Totally fine with the visual reimagining going on in regards to uniforms, ships, etc.

TOS fan, and there's no "meh" option. I don't love it, don't hate it. It is just kinda there right now.
