What episode hooked you?

I mean, I was hooked before it aired (I wasn't going to not watch a Star Trek show), but from Veritas on I was a full on fan.

I was hocked from the first episode, I felt like they hit the ground running. The people making the show know the look and feel of the Berman era.
Lower Decks had everything, that was lacking from DSC and Picard (for me).

I liked it from the first episode. It was a pleasant surprise for me, the trailer made it seem like it was going to be really stupid. That's not to say that it's high brow television, but it's an interesting and entertaining addition to the franchise.

I am having quite a wild ride. Episode 1 started weak but got decent by the end, 2-3 were good and I was just about hooked.

Then I got to 4, which was awful. Haven't been able to bring myself to watch any more since then, but I'll get to it eventually.

Pretty much. I didn't like the rest of the episode, but that was especially bad.

None of them so far. I managed to get to episode 4 and I feel like I have to force myself to watch any more. Did anyone else struggle with the show?? Does it improve? I’m thinking about watching the final episode of the season and if I like that any more I can catch up to it. This is the first Star Trek series ever that I actively disliked from more or less the first episode. I’m just not finding it funny, the characters are like something from a modern day sitcom pasted onto a Trek setting and the hyperactive, shouty, extremely fast dialogue is almost unbearable. I’m wondering if this show is just not for me?

It might not be for you. I didn't think the show improved that much from the first episode. If you don't like it after 4 episodes there's probably no point in continuing.

Yeah, I’m guessing that may be the case. I really wanted to like it, but from what I’ve seen, I just can’t stand the style I might set it aside for now and try it again some other time. I am glad it seems a hit with so many others.

I like it, but am in no way “hooked.”

I liked the first two episodes. Some of the middle episodes were absolutely horrific. The last two were great.

Pretty uneven, but tons of promise. I’ll definitely be back. But it’s not a re-watch experience for me. I can barely remember the characters names, for example.

I’m not a huge fan of animation, so I’m probably biased.

The best parodies are done by those who truly love and understand the source material. They know the essence of what they're playing with, they understand the ins and outside of the universe, and they're not doing it mean-spiritedly.

My Pokemon and Potterverse parodies would not have been half as good if I had not been a genuine fan of both.

I'm not sure when hooked, but there was a definite shift somewhere around the middle from watching an episode, then leaving it a few days to the next one to furiously binging the last few. It's definitely a show that grows it's wings as it goes on.
