So, my fiancée is away for a few days and I'm missing her a bit, and I thought "what would be a very sweet yet extremely embarrassing topic I could conjure right now thinking about her?"
So I wondered, how do you call your SO? I was one of those guys that back in the days swore they would never use those silly names, nevah evah. And you know? I do. I guess my manly manliness now is measured differently since I was an angsty teenager.
Most of the time, I just call her by her first name (which is short and doesn't need shortening), but I also call her a vast array of expressions, like amore, tesoro, cara, bella, which would be respectively love, honey (lit: treasure), dear, beauty. Sometimes I call her baby (in english), querida (in spanish) or chérie (in french) when I'm being silly or I want to make clear I'm trying to woo her. She appreciate it.
I'm not very found of overly complicated expressions, they just sound artificial.
