What Did You Have For Dinner Last Night?

I made popcorn. Tomorrow I'm leaving for a week in Kansas City so didn't want to grocery shop.

Well it's as good an excuse as any other...

I was invited to a small dinner party at a colleague's house.

We had roast beast with horseradish, mashed potatoes, and carrots in apple sauce, washed down with a nice Shiraz wine.

Then, bumbleberry crumble and ice cream for dessert.

Tonight, I'll probably have a microwaved TV dinner.

:(

Sandwiches with wheat-free brown bread, Gorgonzola cheese, roast chicken, mayonnaise, and a sprinkling of honey. I think we'll do that one again - went down a treat. :D

home made pizza :) It turned out bigger than planned, so I have a couple of slices left.

I've been making these quite a lot recently, but despite my experience I still keep managing to make them bigger than I can eat.

I picked up six chicken nuggets, a large strawberry milkshake, and an apple pie from McDonalds on my way home from physio yesterday afternoon. When I got home I got a phone call from the family friends that i'm house and cat sitting for that they were coming home early from vacation so I spent the rest of the evening cleaning up the house and didn't have time to make my real dinner which would have been a frozen Three Cheese Italian Sauggese Lassenga from Cosco! Yum...luckily I get to have it tonight when I get home.

I had two hot dogs (always bunless) with four kinds of cheese (Gouda, Cheddar, Swiss and Havarti) and sour cream.

I'm a bit of a cheese addict. There aren't a lot of cheeses I won't eat.

And I had milk and water for beverages yesterday (my usual).

I have the end of a bag of Wheat Thins here at my computer. ::Opens bag::

Old Bay seasoned Shrimp with Louie & cocktail sauces
Crab, Artichoke & Spinach Dip with flatbread crisps
Grilled Tropical Tilapia
Mashed Potatoes
Green Beans, Carrots & Bell Peppers

Roasted eggplant and bell pepper, along with fresh tomato and cucumber, in a pita with a yogurt based sauce. Kinda middle East inspired recipe.

A salad of mixed greens w/ blue cheese dressing and fish & chips, along with a pint of black & tan, at the pub across the street. Food was good, service a disgrace.
