What Changes Would You Like To See For "The Omega Glory"?

Re: What Changes Would You Like To See For "The Omega Glory"

Isn't there a goof in this episode? When they beam aboard the Exeter, and are standing in the Engineering Room, we see glimpes of the deserted starship, moving from room to room to room, and we even see a deserted Engineering Room which is where the landing party is standing.

Or I am thinking of a different episode? It's been so long...

-Capt. Tracey should say "I'm Dr. Simon Van Gelder!!"

-Shots of Tracey blasting away at hordes of Yangs

-References to the crystalized remains of the Exeter crew being similar to what happened in NIGHT OF THE COMET...making that b-movie classic Trek canon.

-While flipping through their sacred book to find the Spock-looking devil, the Yang preist should go past an illustration of a Klingon Bird of Prey, because they are so kewl.

Or nothing because it's a great episode. It taught me that FREEDOM is a holy word!

When Spock is making goo-goo eyes at the Yang female, I'd like his eyes to glow. And maybe shoot beams.

They could also do some work on Capt. Tracy's skin. Jeesh.

Joe, dipshit

"What Changes Would You Like To See For "The Omega Glory?"

No "NCC-1672".

That's one debate that should have been left unresolved. But of course, it will. And to the regret of many an old fan. But who gives a damn about old fans? They don't fit that all important targeted demographic.

I'm beginning to really dislike this stuff.

I think so. In fact I know one guy that insists this is the justification that there are two engineering rooms on the ship, one for warp engines and one for impulse....

Don't, I repeat DON'T mess with the scene where Spock neck pinches the female Yang and she falls down.
Huh?

When the Yang female, Sirah falls down. her skirt flips up, and you can see that she isn't wearing her knickers and you see her the Glory of her Omega. In other words, you see her cooter, snatch, pussy, twat, beaver, muff, etc.... in an upskirt shot.

Technically, Chakotay's presence (admittedly sans tattoo) accomplishes that end. (Interestingly, Mary Woronov was also in "Night of the Comet"...she co-starred with Beltran in "Eating Raoul".)

Welcome to another episode of Six Degrees of Trekkeration.

As crazy as it is, I've always believed that there really were two (or more) engineering rooms. It definitely made sense in the event of saucer separation and in "Corbomite Maneuver", there are references to engineering decks (plural). The one we saw from season one was located at the bottom of the secondary hull or engineering section and dealt with the warp engines themselves. The main engineering we saw in season two and three was right behind the impulse engines but could also access the warp engines. I base this on "The Enemy Within" (lower levels of the ship), "The Conscience of the King" (I'm down, waaay down) and "The Doomsday Machine" (If I push these impulse engines too hard, they'll blow apart!).

This is just a theory of course. And the visual evidence in "Day of the Dove" constitutes a wild card.

^^ Eeew is right. That would be gratuitous and wholly unnecessary as well as inconsistent with how TOS dealt with horrific concepts.

I heard that it the transformation was written into the script. So, apparently, the people who wrote the episode would disagree with you.

For me, aside from the spaceship shots being changed, there should be more empty uniforms scattered around the ship, especially when Kirk is talking through the intercomm and we see the empty corridors, sickbay, and either the impulse engine room or the warp drive engine room, I can never remember which is which, they look so much alike.

These starships are supposed to have crews of 400 or more supposedly. There should be at least a few uniforms scattered about the Exeter to convey this.

Agreed. But since I don't recognize TOS-R as anything official in terms of TOS' continuity it doesn't matter anyway.

Also Han Solo fired first and Luke's father doesn't look like that young punk from the latter SW drilogy.

Re: What Changes Would You Like To See For "The Omega Glory"

...and you damn kids stay off my damn yard, with your damn disco music and your ghetto blasters!

Re: What Changes Would You Like To See For "The Omega Glory"

^^ Hey, disco I can handle, but that rap and hip-hop stuff SUCKS large.

Re: What Changes Would You Like To See For "The Omega Glory"

^^ Music for me pretty much died around about '92. Thats 1992 not 1892. :D

So where can I find this on the internet, as I'm too lazy to get out my DVDs?
