Amanda (Mrs Sarek) was a bad mother
That would be a viable theory if Spock had not been her only child. Sarek apparently is a serial monogamist with a kink for Humans. Unknown Vulcan woman, Amanda, then Perrin. That we know of that TPTB have not ret-coned yet.Amanda (Mrs Sarek) was a bad mother
You sound like a Klingon scientist! The technobabble required to explain why time dilation doesn’t happen would be both glorious and terrible.
Shut your mouth...Amanda (Mrs Sarek) was a bad mother

They sure did ignore the light barrier. But I think they all heard of relativity, and a light speed limit, and chose to ignore it for better stories. Similar to how Asimov often ignored the fact that most worlds in our solar system can't produce life. If you want people to meet aliens, it's easiest to ignore science. You know it's funny because in the 1950's most sci. fi. writers didn't understand squat about Einstien's Relativity so they thought that light speed was something like the sound barrier, you just had to move past it (by a few engine modifications maybe ) and then you could go as fast as you wanted without any time effects...

Loved Burroughs as a kid. Life on Mars, Venus, at the Earth's core and beyond the farthest star. Plus an Africa teeming with lost cities.Or Edgar Rice Burroughs.

The known science of the time prevails, and then you stretch it through imagination.

Science Fiction will teach you more about the time in which it was made, than of any future, possible or impossible.
Or more than one of the above. Re-reading Tarzan at the Earth's Core now.Loved Burroughs as a kid. Life on Mars, Venus, at the Earth's core and beyond the farthest star. Plus an Africa teeming with lost cities.
Case in point Jules Verne.Science Fiction will teach you more about the time in which it was made, than of any future, possible or impossible.
H.G. Wells.
Jules Verne.
Edgar Rice Burroughs.
I'll start.
I don't think The Wrath of Khan is the best Star Trek movie or even as good a movie as my fellow fans think it is.
Sounds like we need to grab a bite at that Scottish place.
