What are your controversial Star Trek opinions?

Loved Burroughs as a kid. Life on Mars, Venus, at the Earth's core and beyond the farthest star. Plus an Africa teeming with lost cities.

 

Science Fiction will teach you more about the time in which it was made, than of any future, possible or impossible.

 

Yeah, that's so true.

I feel the same. In my opinion, the original series and the their movies are not that great. Tried binge watching TOS a couple dew tears ago. Couldn't do it.

Indeed, yes. And Star Trek often did that same thing.

 

Woah man, those are my two favorites. Although it seems like a lot of people don't like the Maroon Monster so that's not overly controversial.

 

I've found it to be a minority opinion.

 

They went a bit farther still. I mean first, you have life in space!! Pitcher plant, Gormagander, Tardigrade and in Voyager, places so void that you can't see any stars!!! I mean do these people know anything about astronomy? As if there was a place in the entire universe from where you couldn't see the stars!!! But there's still life there!!! Wow! and that time when voyager fell into some kind of a hole (several light-years wide) and samely nothing there, but still an indigenous life!!! Wow, again!!!

It's not inconceivable. Can you see the stars at this moment? I can't.

Clearly there are places and reasons. It's not inconceivable that there are others.
