What are you watching???

Why is it on @Midnight, every time some hack just makes the same joke over and over the entire show, instead of being creative, he wins? It's like not only do they make the show boring and unfunny, they get rewarded for it.

In and out

Slightly rubbish Kevin Kline film

They manipulated me into feeling all good inside when everybody started standing up and saying....."I'm gay"

I'm such a sucker for that sort of crap (I'm why films like this probably get made)

The new The Odd Couple is horrifying.

Chandler has given up.

I'm pretty sure I laughed at only one joke in the whole episode. And it was at the end when the brunette was going to return Oscar's mail and he shooed her away.

How is the Odd Couple the most watched new comedy?

Watching the second episode now, sorry Tom Lennon, but it's still shit.

OK...you guys had already answered the question that I just asked in the other thread that I stumbled into while I was looking for this one....

Banished Thursdays BBC2 (9pm)

Watched this last night as nothing better to do and was surprised how much I enjoyed it. British convicts in an Australian penal colony in 1788 get treated like shit by the soldiers and try to shag each other and not get hanged

Russel Tovey is always good value and who doesn't love Julian Rhind-Tutt plus the always fantastic Rory McCann (bring back the hound)

Gonna try and watch all seven eps

Since the last time I was on Trektoday, I've watched movies such as:

  1. Always Outnumbered, Always Outgunned, a movie starring Laurence Fishbourne based on a Walter Mosley novel.
  2. Grudge Match w/ Sly Stallone and Robert DeNiro
  3. 3 Days to Kill, a movie that didn't know what it wanted to be, but did have a cool ass song that ended the film: 'Sweet Disposition' which I play continuously.Too, Amber Heard was amazingly sexy, especially in her leather outfits. And, at certain angles she looked like Alicia Keyes....lol
  4. Harlem Nights w/Eddie Murphy
  5. Beverly Hills Cop, the first and best....
  6. The Ladies Man, which I wanted to see because of Tiffany Amber Theissen.
  7. The Golden Child w/ Eddie Murphy. Yes, I was going through an Eddie Murphy phase since I kinda want to work with the guy someday...although, his films weren't always solid, such as this one. I do like the Blasian romance, though even though it happened a bit too quickly.
  8. Serpico, a fabulous film I may get on blu-ray soon.
  9. Pretty in Pink, because a retro 80s artist used clips of this for his song on Youtube and I wanted to see the finally see the film since it was offered on Netflix a few days ago. A good film about how guys can easily get into the friendzone by annoying the girl they like.
  10. Divergent, because it was available at the local library and I was curious about the movie. It was 'meh' but it did have some catchy songs which I listen to frequently on Youtube.

And I've watched TV shows such as:

  1. Magnum P.I., because I wanted to see actress Deborah Pratt (married to the producer of that show as well as 'Airwolf,' another show she would have a recurring role in).
  2. Black-ish, a snappy, funny show.
  3. Star Wars: Rebels, an awesome show.
  4. Airwolf, which I'm kinda addicted to right now. I'm just getting into the 3rd season...and I don't plan on watching the 4th. I understand that it's pretty bad, based on what I've read and seen and heard.
  5. Gotham, a cool show.
  6. The Walking Dead, a show that needs to surprise me...even though I'm watching weekly.

I've been marathoning Cheers on Netflix, with the intent of moving straight into Frasier when I'm done.

Airwolf

The 4th season is terrible. Terrible scripts, sub-par acting (like in the season premiere, Jan-Michael Vincent's last episode, he's pretty clearly half-wasted most of the time, and yet he still gives the best performance), and because of the miniscule budget, the use of stock footage jumps from "noticeable" to "giggle-worthy."

Brooklyn Nine Nine

I don't know if this see saw problem is some famous riddle but here's what I think is the answer.

Trial 1: 4 against 4

One side is heavier, you have 4 light candidates and 4 heavy candidates (8)
The other side is heavier, you have the same (8)
Neither side is heavier, you have 4 candidates for either light or heavy (8)

Case 1 and 2, trial 2:

You weigh two light candidates and one heavy candidate against one light candidate, one heavy candidate, and one known neutral.

Side 1 is lighter: You now have 2 light candidates (Side 1) and 1 heavy candidate (Side 2) (3)
Side 2 is lighter: You now have 1 heavy candidate (Side 1) and 1 light candidate (Side 2)
(2)
Both sides are even: You now have 2 heavy candidates and 1 light candidate (Those who were in trial 1 and not trial 2). (3)

Case 2, trial 2:

You weigh two of the remaining four candidates against one of the remaining candidates and a known neutral.

Side 1 is heavier: Either one of the two on that side is heavier, or the one on the other side is lighter. (3)
Side 2 is heavier: Either one of the two on side 1 is lighter, or the one on side 2 is heavier. (3)
Same: Either the last remaining unweighed person is lighter, or he is heavier. (2)

For trial three, if you have two of the same weight option you weigh them against each other, if you don't you weigh one of them against a known netural. Or if you only have one candidate left but don't know if he's heavier or lighter, weigh him against anyone.

The trick is, you start with 24 options, and you have to get every branch lower than 9 on the first trial, and every branch lower than 3 on the second.

Don't know why that took Holt 20 years. :)
