What are you watching???

I've been marathoning Cheers on Netflix, with the intent of moving straight into Frasier when I'm done.

My son and I have been watching Frasier from the beginning, two episodes a night. We're in Season 10 now.

What a fantastic show!

:techman:
I missed Cheers in its first run because I was too young to watch it most of the years it was on, and only caught a very few reruns after it ended. For that reason, I never really watched Frasier much when it was on NBC. So this is all new to me. I'm near the end of Season 3. I'm

Funny, you should bring that girl up, but the actors who played the horribly formerly married couple Nick and Carla, have also been playing a different divorced couple on the Mindy Project for a while now. I'm a little curious how that re-team-up came into existence.

Rhea was also in every episode of Kirsty Ally's recently failed self-titled sitcom over on TV land.

Freindship truly does hold the world together.

Say When

I just can't stand Keira Knightley. Everything about her irritates the crap out of me. This is a woman who was born, had a poo then spent the rest of her existence being a wealthy, globe trotting film star. I fucking hate her and her skeletor covered with skin face

Anyway, the film.

It is saved (as so many films are) by the presence of Sam Rockwell and I wish all films could have him in them. Films would thank us for this. The premise is as equally absurd as it is forgettable but it was reasonably entertaining and I didn't hate the film but I just find Knightley unbearable and immensely smackable. It was watchable but I wouldn't go out of my way to see it. The way way back was better

'Deed it does, my Friend (if I may make so bold)

Hey, it does not do to hold it in...let it out, man, and tell us what you really think!

Could not agree more about Sam Rockwell! Do not even know what to call that (Celluliod Saviour?) but you are so right! :techman:

The Imitation Game

Very good.

Benylin Thundercrack is as solid and engaging as usual and even Keira Knightley (who I can't stand) is reasonably watchable. The police investigation in 1951 seemed a bit blah (surely they could have come up with a better way to pull the story together) but other than that, it was good stuff.

Gotta love some Charles (makes me wanna) Dance

Nurse

Hmmm dunno

I think Paul Whitehouse is really good with characters and I agree with Johnny Depp who described him as a brilliant actor but I think his desire to move away from out and out comedy and towards comedy with pathos is hard for me to get on board with. I also feel these characters with various mental health issues are a bit.....dunno....too easy. A bit manipulative

Good to see Simon Day again though

Pride

It's heart is in the right place but it felt like I was being hit over the head by a feel good hammer. Too many cliches but watchable

The 16 year old baby

Fascinating and perplexing doc about a 16 year old who doesn't age beyond that of a toddler. These kinds of programmes are just unbelievable. Apparently she may hold the key to defying the ageing process. Nature is a mystery (sad ending)

Champions League - Chelsea. V PSG

Mourinho is negative anti-football tool. Well done PSG

Drunk History

Comedians get drunk and talk crap about a particular period in British history. The re-enactments are quite funny but the drunk comedians are a bit over indulgent. The women are usually funniest (wine drunk)
