What are you watching???

Amok Time on the DVR.It was on MeTV earlier tonight. I watched Baffled last night on DVD, for the first time in probably more than thirty years.

The series finale of Agent Carter.

It's nice how they took care of enough loose ends in case the show doesn't get additional seasons and yet left enough options open in case it does.

Watching T'Pol on Stargate.

So, several months ago I saw a trailer for the movie Chappie. The trailer did not portray it as an action movie. It seemed more like Measure of a Man, somebody built a sentient robot and it faced difficulties being accepted.

The ads now portray it as an action film, Chappie was built to fight the bad guys.

Was this movie thrashed by focus groups and retooled into an action film or something or was it just a really misleading trailer?

^they probably figured they'd sell more tickets if people thought it was an action film. Lowest common denominator, and all that. :vulcan:

My optimistic guess would be that they didn't change the movie, just the marketing.

In other words, the action scenes were always there. Somebody just decided to emphasize them more in the latest round of advertising.
