What are you watching???

Watched "Mank" on Netflix. That was excellent. I'm obsessed with Citizen Kane so I loved getting to see this side of its origin.

Just saw Nobody

Bob Odenkirk ( Breaking Bad / Better Call Saul) as a suburban dad who turns out to be a retired hitman, who through bad luck and timing gets pulled into a circle of violence. People will immediately compare it to John Wick and it has some similarities but the action is much less stylized and slick like in John Wick. Nonetheless it is a very entertaining, straight up action movie that goes by fast and has some very cool moments - if you like John Wick you will like this too.

The Lost Husband on Netflix. It was okay for a Saturday night stay-home date.

The latest episode of The Rookie had a moment of unintentional comedy amid a serious topic. There was a new rookie on the force who was a soldier and her head is still stuck in Afghanistan, having trouble adjusting back to life in America. Her training officer is trying to help her settle back in and separate being a cop from being a soldier. And her first two days on the job involve machine gun shootouts and she quits.

Legally Blonde

I had never seen it and enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Plus a young Matthew Davis was a pleasant surprise.

My mom and I have been working our way through the most recent seasons of Shakespeare and Hathaway, and Death in Paradise on Britbox.
And I watched the part of the first episode Debris this morning, and I'll finish it up tomorrow morning.
I also watched the first episode of the Nickelodeon puppet fantasy/comedy series The Barbarian and The Troll last week.

Still watching the F1 and Indycar wrap-up shows on YT from last Sunday's races. I keep getting sidetracked by installments of Megaprojects.

Things Im watching

Tonight
watching Greenland

rest of this weekend and pretty much the rest of this end of April early May

Picard show for DVD
X-Files Seasons 2 and 3

Mortal Kombat 2021
I recommend you watch the opening segment and then go watch something else. The first 10 minutes are good and seem really promising and then it's diminishing returns from there on out.
