Explain it to me.There's a substantial difference between on screen nudity and pornography.

Film is for entertainment, nudity in film is to "excite" the audience. Exceptions to this can be war films where people are brutally assaulted in the thick of war. An example of this is the WW2 film "Black Book," directed by the guy who directed the original RoboCop.The sole purpose in porn is to stimulate sexual arousal.
Nudity in film can be used to convey multiple things, including intimacy between characters, or vulnerability.
Usually, it's to sexualize a character or scene, not always, but usually.Yes, it can and is often used to sexualize a character, but it's certainly not always the case.
When it's a movie like this, I don't object.Think about scenes from films such as Schindler's List where nudity is used to dehumanize the Jews.
It's bonkers to think a graphic sex scene is not pornographic.Or even nudity in an ultra mainstream film such as Titanic. Yes, it sexualized the character or Rose, but it was also used to show intimacy between her and Jack. It certainly wasn't pornographic.
Graphic sex scene?! I went to see Titanic while I was in grade 8. It was a school field trip! It's bonkers to think a graphic sex scene is not pornographic.
Do explain where you draw the line between a "pornographic" sex scene and a sensual/titillating sex scene in a mainstream film. It's bonkers to think a graphic sex scene is not pornographic.
The sex and nudity in Titanic is about as pornographic as a walk through the Louvre. It's bonkers to think a graphic sex scene is not pornographic.
I saw it with my mom as a teenager. I had the good sense to look away.Graphic sex scene?! I went to see Titanic while I was in grade 8. It was a school field trip!

Seeing Kate Winslet’s breasts will not turn you into a pillar of salt.I saw it with my mom as a teenager. I had the good sense to look away.![]()
Don't be an ass.Seeing Kate Winslet’s breasts will not turn you into a pillar of salt.
Not sure that would qualify as gawking.Don't be an ass.I'm not a pervert; I don't go gawking at women's breasts.

It's how I was raised. Not sure that would qualify as gawking.
When I'm watching a TV show, I don't want to have to constantly be on the lookout for sex scenes and frontal nudity. Does that make sense?
Human males can be easily aroused by female nudity and sexual scenes. Even if not, there's still ethical and religious (in my case, Christian) factors that come to play. Graphic violence isn't the same thing. No one watches a violent movie and walks out of the theater wanting to hurt people. And graphic violence?
Probably fine.And graphic violence?
And? So what? Or are you one of those types that think because some assholes can't contain themselves, it's a woman's responsibility to make sure she doesn't turn on men?Human males can be easily aroused by female nudity and sexual scenes.
You must not go to art museums. Rubens would send you running for the door. And that Venus de Milo! It's how I was raised.![]()

Why are you fine with pornographic movie scenes yet cannot handle violence? Kids grow up with Looney Tunes, and that's violent, and said kids don't grow up to be violent.

It's a stereotype that Americans take a nude body very seriously (Rated R) but will then find a movie with graphic violence totally acceptable.
