What are some good space & ocean-based TV shows?

The sole purpose of porn is to stimulate sexual arousal. Whereas nudity in film can be used to convey multiple things, including intimacy between characters, or vulnerability.

Yes, it can and is often used to sexualize a character, but it's certainly not always the case. Think about scenes from films such as Schindler's List where nudity is used to dehumanize the Jews.

Or even nudity in an ultra mainstream film such as Titanic. Yes, it sexualized the character of Rose, but it was also used to show intimacy between her and Jack. It certainly wasn't pornographic.

Film is for entertainment, nudity in film is to "excite" the audience. Exceptions to this can be war films where people are brutally assaulted in the thick of war. An example of this is the WW2 film "Black Book," directed by the guy who directed the original RoboCop.

Usually, it's to sexualize a character or scene, not always, but usually.

When it's a movie like this, I don't object.

It's bonkers to think a graphic sex scene is not pornographic.

And graphic violence?
Human males can be easily aroused by female nudity and sexual scenes. Even if not, there's still ethical and religious (in my case, Christian) factors that come to play. Graphic violence isn't the same thing. No one watches a violent movie and walks out of the theater wanting to hurt people.

Why are you fine with pornographic movie scenes yet cannot handle violence? Kids grow up with Looney Tunes, and that's violent, and said kids don't grow up to be violent.

It's a stereotype that Americans take a nude body very seriously (Rated R) but will then find a movie with graphic violence totally acceptable.

Where in the Bible is nudity prohibited? I'm sure there's some passage in there--just curious.

You must not go to art museums. Rubens would send you running for the door. And that Venus de Milo!

Had to.

And I mean, America was founded by a bunch of Puritans who had no problem killing natives to take their lands. Prudism and a love of violence are the foundation of this nation.
