What are some good space & ocean-based TV shows?

At least in the reboot (Space Battleship Yamato 2199) they don't literally rebuild the WWII battleship of the same name, but use the wreck as a cover. It's also not even the wreck of the original ship but a replica of it sunk as a commemoration in the 21st century.

And by the way, I also can recommend Sei Jūshi Bismarck - however that comes with an asterisk. I recommend the english or german version, which is called "Saber Rider and the Star Sherrfis". The dubbed version tells almost a completely different story. In the "Bismarck"-Storyline, the aliens are called the "Deathcula" and are a force to be reckoned with. In "saber Rider" the aliens are called the "Outriders" and are far more... say... inept.
Plus, in the German version, there are funny lines, that are probably not included in the other versions. There is a situation, in which an Outrider is being shot from his flying bike - he yells "Schickt mir mein Gepäck in die Phantomzone nach" (Send my luggage after me into the phantom zone) - oh yeah, that's another thing: In "Bismarck" the aliens die. In Saber Rider they're just send back in their home-environment, the Phantom Zone.

Just in case it matters, Black Sails is not sci-fi, it's a straight historical drama about pirates.
 
It means it was on Starz. Most of the premium cable channel shows are filled with tons of sex, nudity, graphic violence, and harsher swearing than they can do on networks and basic cable.
Are you not in the US?

I am in the US, but I never had any of those extreme cable TV channels. What the F*** is wrong with cable TV producers?
 
Robotech - Americanized version of 3 separate, unrelated Japanimation series. Story in 3 parts. Part 1 Alien spacecraft obviously built by giants crashed on Earth in the middle of WWIII. Earth unified in the potential of extraterrestrial invasion. The Slave race of said extraterrestrial species (yes, I'm misleading you slightly here) arrive to reclaim the wayward ship. Part 2 Said extraterrestrial aliens arrive to follow up on what happened to their Slave enforcers. Part 3 the sworn enemies of those extraterrestrials from Part 2 arrive at Earth to fill the void and pursue the unintended consequences created by Parts 1 and 2.

OK, I'll give two examples. The Fly (1986 remake) is a hard R-rated movie, but one of my favorites. There are a few sex scenes, I think three, and some nudity. While I enjoy the movie for what it is, I generally don't enjoy sex and nudity in film. Thankfully, that's what the fast forward movie is. I'm not watching like 12 hard R-rated movies in a row, most movies I watch are PG-13. When I'm watching a TV show, I don't want to have to constantly be on the lookout for sex scenes and frontal nudity. Does that make sense?
