Psssst Vash... you asked about Everquest in the "What Game are you Playing" thread in the General TV & Media forum, so I gave you my thoughts on a similiar game that has consumed my life since I've been on holidays called World of Warcraft. Have a look!

Oh wow! I'd forgotten about that thread!

I'll try and have a look at it either tonight or tomorrow! Thanks for the heads up!

And I hope everyone is having a Merry Christmas Eve! Or, in SB's case, Christmas morning! :)

Hope everybody had a good holiday. We did our Christmas last night when I miraculously slipped away from work for a night. I'm probably going to watch a DVD or something today, but I'm not sure what!! There's so much to watch. Almost done re-watching Alias s3 and I'm working on the second half of B5 s4 again, too.

BTW, TED, I got Everquest II for Christmas. :)

I have no idea how to start...but I'm gonna try it out soon! :)

I spent Christmas waiting for Santa to come down the chimney, then I realized this morning that I didn't have one.
Next christmas I'm going to wish for better medication...

Keep me posted. I'd be eager to hear how you find that game. I understand that quite the rivarly exists between the communities of the game I play, World of Warcraft and that of Everquest II.

What character class are you gonne be? You'd make a good rouge.

My christmas was descent. The best part of the day was when we went to mass. Everything from the homily to the music was really special, and made it seem like a big day. The night before, I opened up the gifts from my living family, and got a few surprises. One of them was a Cell phone, which I might take back for a better deal. I remember last year, I didn't like cell phones, but over the year, I've found them a pretty good asset. Now, I have officially joined the cell phone revolution. :D I also got Star Trek season 3 which I have been watching. So I've watched "The Cage," and stopped at "Spectre of the Gun." It's actually pretty good.

Christmas day, I recieved the ship of the line 2005 calander, a backpack, a few gift cards, and clothes. Our dinner was pretty good, but because we had it at my grandmas house, we had to help her out with dinner and cleaning. It ended up being a slow day because we didn't eat until 4:00, which was an hour later than we thought. All in all though, it was a pretty good day, and I am now looking foward to ringing in 2005 and saying good riddence to 2004.

^ Maybe Toys R Us? They likely have an online store, in addition to the brick and mortars. Worth a try.
I should've reposted here. My mother found it in a Wal-Mart a few days before Christmas, so my niece's parents were very happy. She really enjoyed it too, but she was more into a kiddy keyboard they got her. She really loves to sing (& scream at the top of her lungs, which she figures most of the singers are doing anyway :D). I sang (& screamed) along with her. Ah, what a fun Christmas!

Merry Belated Christmas everyone! And a Happy upcoming New Year! (in case I don't make it back to to board by then)

I spent Christmas with my brother & sister-in-law, my parents, and my niece. My folks & I made seafood gumbo, so we had that along with fried turkey & some good ol' Christmas dinner sides. It was a light-weight dinner actually, not as many sides as I normally have, and no dressing!! We were doing less dinner & gifts this year and more fellowshipping. I got a few clothes, but that's about it.

The real goods went to my niece. That keyboard they got her had features comparable to some real good ones. Different instrument sounds, drum pads, microphone, rhythms, recording - I need one of them :p

Anyway, it was great. On to New Years!

Yep, same here. Not one, but two DS9 pics! :D I also got a couple gift cards for Chapters. So that's going straight to Star Trek books in January. ;)

Hear hear!

Well it seems everyone is having fun over the holidays. :) I am too...it's great to be back home. I'm also looking forward to New Years, which is when I get presents from my folks. It should be fun.

Anyway...I watched a couple of films in the last couple of days. First I watched Resident Evil: Apocalypse and I have to say that I really liked it. I didn't care much for the first RE movie...cos IMO the action just wasn't all that good and the "scary" thing doesn't do anything for me.
So the sequel was definately a lot better, at least to me. It was more of an action then a horror flick, which is how I like it. And the action was a lot of fun. I also really liked Jill Valentine. :D

The next movie I watched was The Bourne Supremacy which was also very good. In a lot of ways, it was actually better then the first one. But yeah...I actually don't mind Matt Damon in these movies. :)

The last thing I watched was The Anchorman which I thought was really bad. It did have a couple of funny bits, but overall I was very disappointed.

^ Oh my!!!! Coaster is thinking of getting that Anchorman movie on DVD.

Maybe I'll point him to you and suggest we Netflix it.

^
If you're pointing him in the direction of other people's opinions, let him know that I said it was worth checking out. He'd like it, I'm sure of it.

EDIT: I should add, that while I found it very funny, it is just worth a rent. Although, when you only have 200 DVDs like I do, you're a lot more picky about what you buy.

Well I'm sure some people have and will enjoy the movie. I'm just not one of them. :)

Well, maybe we can Netflix it first, and if he likes it, he can buy it then.

Although I do know that he has alot of the same tastes as you do, TED! ;) So maybe he will really love it.

Talking about me, eh??

Yeah, The Evil Dead and I have very similar tastes. I mean, who doesn't love zombies and evil dead things getting killed by a guy with a shotgun on one arm and a chainsaw on the other??

I don't know...based on a number of things I've read, maybe I will just rent it after all. It's not like I don't have several hundred other films in my DVD library already. :p

Happy New Year everyone! :)

I had a lot of fun today. I also got a ton of cool prezzies, so yeah, it was definately a good day. I should go to bed though, cos I'm flying back to Canada on sunday, so I need to get some rest. :)

Happy New Year Niners

I hope everyone is having/had a safe and good New Years Eve. Today I went to the movies and saw some great shows. I saw Meet the Fockers, Finding Neverland, and The Phantom of the Opera. Meet the Fockers was pretty good, but every time they cracked a joke, it was crude. I don't mind sex jokes, but every one was a sex joke, which was a bit much. I think this is why I liked the first one better. Finding Neverland was my favorite movie of the day. I think Johnny Depp is starting to be my favorite actor. He should be nominated and this movie should get nominated for best picture. It was that good. Phantom of the Opera was pretty good too, but nearly all the dialouge was through song. I guess this is the ultimate musical eh?

Tonight I'm probably just going to spend New Years at home. I don't feel like going out to SF, especially if it's raining hard here.

Well, I'm flying back to Canada tomorrow. And this time, it's the first time ever that I REALLY wish I didn't have to. But I've only got another six months of school to go thru', and then I'm done. So I'm gonna have to get thru' that, and then I can come back here, permanently. I'm really glad this is the last time I have to leave my home for an extended period of time.

Anyway...I'll see you guys in a couple of days. :)
